SYICF 21 days of Prayer and fasting-Week 2 Praise God for taking us through the first week of our fast.

I am sure we have drawn much closer to the Lord as we have taken time to wait upon Him, minister to Him and intercede about issues that are important to Him. Has He spoken to you about anything during this past week? If it is something that we the elders need to know about, please go ahead and write to me about it at m28181920@yahoo.com This week we turn our attention to the second part of the benediction 2 Corinthians 13:24-the love of God. We will pray about different aspects of this profound truth. We will also remember to continue to lift up Bro Thomas each day as he ministers in Thailand. We have received good reports from there about people being served medically and people being saved spiritually. This week please also pray daily for divine health for members of SYICF. People's health have come under attack of late. Pray for soundness of body, soul (mind) and spirit for each and every member of the fellowship. Pray for healing and recovery for those currently under attack.

Saturday March 24, 2012-Day 8 "...The Love of God.." What a profound phrase! Today we want to worship the One who is described as love. It is not so much that God has love, but that God himself is love. We often sing that God's love "is so high, you can't over it, so low you can't get under it, so wide you can't get out of it or around it." That is so true. This love has been best and fully expressed to us in Jesus the Son going to the cross for our sins, in our place. This is what we are commemorating and celebrating at this season of Lent/Easter. So let us praise God for being the God of Love that He is, and for expressing this love to us in sending His One and Only Begotten Son to be a sin offering for us lost mankind. Praise Him for the utter vastness of His love for us. Scriptures for Meditation: God commended His love toward us... Behold what manner of love the Father has given unto us...

Sunday, March 25, 2012-Day 9 To have only a head knowledge about God's love is one thing, but to truly know it experientially in our everyday life is quite another matter. Many people fail to fully receive and experience God's love because of various issues in their lives:difficult upbringing, problems in relationships with parents (especially fathers), sin and rebellion, painful life's experiences, unbelief, etc, etc. All of these and more may keep people from experiencing God's love in its immense fullness. Paul prayed that the Ephesian Christians would experience the height, length, breath and

depth of God's love for them in Christ and come to know this love which surpasses knowledge, and that they may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Let us pray that prayer over ourselves fervently, and for as long as it takes, until the answer becomes our experience. Scripture for Meditation: Ephesians 3 Monday, March 26, 2012-Day 10 As we receive and experience God's love, God expects us to respond to Him in love as well. Jesus said that greatest commandment is to love the Lord our God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. To love the Lord in that way is to put Him first in our lives and walk in obedience to Him by deliberate choice and using every faculty at our disposal. The other command Jesus says is as equally important as the first; love one's neighbour as oneself. To love one's neighbour as oneself is to seek their ultimate good and welfare at all times. Today, let's ask the Lord for grace to love Him more. For us to grow in our love for the Lord. For that love to be expressed in a life of joyful surrender and obedience to his will. And for us to love our neighbours as we would love ourselves. Ask Him to forgive us where we have not done so. Scripture for Meditation: Love the Lord your God... Tuesday, March 27, 2012-Day 11 By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. The world is waiting for this incontrovertible evidence of true discipleship to manifest among those who call themselves disciples of Christ. Let's pray that this truly be the testimony of SYICF. Love among the believers, not in word only, but in truth and deed. When the love of Christ is fully manifested among us we will be on the look out for the weak and straddling among us to help them in their walk with the lord. We will go after the wandering backslider to turn them back to the straight and narrow path. In short, we will be one another's keeper. The visitor in our midst will immediately feel welcome and at home among us, and will want to come again and be a part of us- SYICF. Let us pray that the love of God will be truly made complete among us in SYICF and manifested in these ways we have just described and more. Scripture For Meditation: By this shall all men know that you arre my disciple

Wednesday, March 28, 2012-Day 12

Today let us especially remember the faithful labour of love of those serving at SYICF-the elders, student overseers, ministry department leaders, campus group leaders. Pray for them and their various departments by name. Pray for God's hedge of covering over them and their families, anointing of the Holy Ghost and for great effectiveness in their services. Pray that they will continue to serve, not out of compulsion, but out of love for the Lord. Pray for a life of purity and holiness to be the hallmark of their service. Pray against every assignment of the evil one against them. Scripture for Meditation Labour of love is not in vain...

Thursday, March 29, 2012-Day 13 The Love of God is never meant for us to keep just to ourselves. It needs to be shared. The greatest way we can share the love of Christ to a person is by bringing to them the Good News of eternal Life that is found in Christ Jesus, and snatching them from the flames of Hell. This is by no means an easy task. It is fraught with hardship, danger and discouragement. But one thing that can keep us going when the going gets tough is the love of God. Paul puts it this way: "The love of Christ constrains us." This was Paul's secret. It was that which motivated him and enabled him to endure all that he endured in bringing the Gospel to those who had never heard about Jesus. Today, let us pray for the same motivation. That the love of Christ will contrain and motivate us to reach those who haven't heard the gospel, and help us to triumphantly endure every hardship that may come our way. Scripture For Meditation: The Love of Christ Contrain s us...

Friday March 30, 2012-Day 14 The Father wants His love to reach the nations of the earth and wants SYICF to be involved in this. Last week and this week His love has been shown in practical ways to people of Thailand by one of our number who became part of a team bringing medical and sp help to the people of that land. Let us thank the Lord for continued open doors for effective ministry. For lasting fruit from that outreach. For effective discipleship of those that have come into the family. Also pray likewise for the summer trip trip to the Philippines. Pray that the finances will come in, that the right people will be chosen to go on the trip, that a great harvest will be reaped, that the people that partcipate in this venture will be changed irreversibly. Finally, pray for those formerly among us who are now serving in Tamale, Ghana.

Ask that a heavy harvest anointing will rest on them, even as they pursue their medical training. Pray effective work will be done by them while there. Scripture For Meditation:
