Authority & Responsibilities Must be fully committed to working safely in accordance with Stena Drillings Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures Execute instructions from the Driller and Assistant Driller Ensure full understanding of the safe operation of equipment in the derrick. Work in the derrick as instructed by the Driller Carry out derrick inspections and Dropped Object Checks thoroughly and timely, document the results and ensure any anomalies are reported Responsible for performing Planned Maintenance on drilling equipment thoroughly and timely and recording it on the PM sheets as delegated by Assistant Driller Carry out regular checks on pump room equipment and replace expendable parts as required Responsible for ensuring good housekeeping in his areas of work Record mud pump running hours Monitor mud pit levels and record drilling fluid properties as instructed by the Driller Treat the drilling fluid as instructed by the Mud Engineer. Participate fully in the STOP system and the PW system. Obligated to work in accordance with Stenas HS&E Policies and Procedures Responsible for participation and commitment to Stena Drillings Dropped Object Procedure. Participate in updating risk assessments as required. Participate in emergency drills

Undertake training onshore and offshore to comply with the Training Matrix for Derrickman. Complete Stena Drillings Competence Assurance Scheme for the position within 12 months, on completion of probationary period. Mentor Floormen in operations in the derrick and in the pump room/pit room areas. Supervise Chemical Mixing by deck crew Keep the Driller informed of all matters of significance within his areas of work Inform Driller and Mud Logger prior to mud transfers Communicate variations in the mud properties to the Driller and Mud Engineer and notify them prior to any treatment Participate in Pre-Tour Safety Meetings Attend Pre-Job Safety Meetings incorporating the relevant Risk Assessment for the specific task Participate in weekly safety meetings with the Drilling Crew Complete a documented shift handover in line with Stena Drillings Handover / Reporting Procedure. Stay informed of drilling related safety alerts Notify the Driller and Toolpusher prior to the commencement of any man riding operations Record entry to and egress from the derrick in the derrick log book.
