Organizations, groups, families, and individuals are invited to include a float or walking contingent in the parade on Friday evening, June 15. Local businesses and organizations can band together to exalt their favorite comic-strip characters, from old classics such as Charlie Brown or Beetle Bailey, to newer standards, such as Mutts and Zits. Recognition will be given for the best float or group in three categories: The Most Comical, The Most Super Heroic, and The Most Animated. Although following this years theme is encouraged, any float or group or individual is welcome to march. The Parade is being planned by the Whipple City Festival Committee.
