Biographic Sketch

If youre lucky enough to find a valuable unpolished diamond left on the road, would you pick
it up or just walk away?
On the surface, I might not be the perfect one for the position: I dont possess any relevant
experience. But, with a further examine, Im qualified for this job.
Im good at language, and take it as a perfect tool. I scored 915 in TOEIC, 200 in TOEIC
Speaking Test, and 160 in TOEIC Writing Test. I read at least six books a month. I absorb
different thoughts from the pages, combine the information with my own experience then
share it with others. When it comes to communication, Im well-equipped in both input and
output.
Im a person willing to challenge. Id been working as a part-time server in Yellowstone
National Park in 2008, and it was my first time traveling abroad. I joined the Graduation
Performance in Junior year in college even though I was busy on the courses and burning at
both ends. I participated in a 10k road race and finished it in seventy minutes. Before the
race, I never ran over thirty minutes. I took English Debate, English Speech, Simultaneous
Interpretation at the same time, and my friend would call it a combination of demanding
courses. When everybody says that the wall is too high to climb, Im always the one whos
ready to give it a try. Maybe I dont know the techniques required, but I will find that out
through the process of trying. All I need is a chance.
Im initiative and resourceful. I read books and read between the lines. I listen to music but
listen beyond the strings. I watch movies and take a deep look of the story behind. I talk with
people in order to build up my sensitivity to the society. From the enormous information, I
gather the irrelevant details and assemble them into a useful piece. One plus one is two, but
as for me, sometimes its more than two. I never take things for granted and always look
beyond the frame.
Im a lifelong learner. I didnt stop learning after graduated from college. I passed the JLPT N2
in 2011 by preparing just half year. Im a fast learner, as well. We dont have to be omniscient,
but we have to possess the hunger of learning something new.

Everyone starts from nothing. Men are not born as shining diamonds. We should find out
what our abilities are and polish them. We sharpen them with knowledge and strengthen
them with working experiences. Now heres lying a potential diamond. Would you give it a
chance? Pick it up.
