03.04.2012 It is again time for you to send all your news for the first issue; i.e. JAN -MAR, 2012 multicolor edition of the quarterly newsletter of Amrita University.. In this regard the news which is supported by photos is to be put at first (shown below). All the school editors are hence requested to collect such photographs and compile it as shown below. We are also forced to reduce the number of pages. Hence all of you are requested to restrict the reporting to major activities and avoid regular activities. In this regard, all the departments/schools under our university are requested to furnish information on the various departmental/school activities and events, research activities, new faculty appointments, sponsored projects, achievements of staff and students, student association details, publications etc., for the period of January -March, 2012latest by 10th April 2012 and subsequent issues by 5th july 2012, 5th Oct 2012 and 5th Jan 2013. All photographs should also be sent by CD as you have been doing so far. The information must be e-mailed to our address: amritarpan@amrita.edu Note: 1. Please send all the information as MS-word file only and not MS-Excel file. The photographs in word document should be sent separately in CD with a resolution of 300 pixels/inch. 2. Kindly follow the attached format for publication details.

Sri.T.S.Rangarajan, Principal Consultant and Enterprise Architect for NextGen Enterprise Solution, Tata Consultancy Services addressing the students during the occasion.

The annual Best Student and Best Student Project awards were presented to the students by Sri.T.S.Rangarajan, Principal Consultant and Enterprise Architect for NextGen enterprise solution, Tata Consultancy Services. Best Student award was won by Mr.Himanshu Kumar of IT department. The Best Student Project award was won by a team of Computer Science students comprising Mr.S.Gowtham, Mr.M.V.Ramkishore, Mr.P.Suriya and Mr.Ragunath, for their project titled CMMSCloud Management & Monitoring Suite.
