Introduction
Pornography is one of the well talked about issues across the globe. It has been such a controversial issue for years. Many people have disputed the existence of pornography for years whereas others too postulate its imperativeness to human society. I dont know what your views are but I believe you will be blessed if you avail yourself for the Holy Spirit to minister to you through this tract.
The Origin of Pornography

The word porn meaning indecent pictures or depiction of whores came from Greeks who painted such frescos (painting done in water-color on a wall or ceiling before the plaster is dry) on the walls of their brothels (premises for 1

prostitution). In a word, such pictures were wonderful advertising of homes where women sold their love to Greeks for money. Christianity prohibited depicting such pictures for several centuries but it is quite natural that the fact changed neither the quality nor the quantity of sex services. The art of porn flourished in the Renaissance (revival of art and literature in the 14th16th B.C.) Julio Romano (an artist) quarreled with Pope Clemens VII, of which reason God only knows. In revenge, the artist painted an entire hall in the Vatican with porn frescos. The frescos gave rise to a terrible indignity that spread about the whole of Europe. Before the scandalous frescos were removed some crafty painters made gravures (painting made by engraving 2
holes on the surface of a metal plate) of them. And this is how porn spread about Europe as a result of the scandal. And the spreading was even more successful thanks to the technological progress, so to speak.
Definition
Pornography is the explicit display of sexual matter with the sole intention of sexually exciting the viewer. It is presented through a variety of media, among which are; sculpture, printed literature (books, magazines and newspapers), photographs, drawing, painting, animation, sound recording, film and video games. Pornography is also defined as any commercial product in the form of fictional drama designed to elicit or enhance sexual arousal (Mosher, 1988). 3
Three specific forms of pornography are underscored. 1. Mild pornography consists of stimuli of nudes (naked persons), persons engaging in petting (to fondle and touch each other for sexual pleasure), and nonviolent acts of sexual intercourse without genitalia (sexual organs) visible. (eg. Movies of late). 2. Erotica or explicit pornography involves stimuli portraying consensual nonviolent sexual acts with genitalia visible; and 3. Violent pornography includes depictions of rape, degradation, sexual aggression, or sadism (sexual perversion characterized by cruelty).
We cannot precisely deal with the issue of porn without trying to solve some of the confronting questions about sex.
What is the Christian view of sex?

Before answering this question we tried to find out from people what their opinions were. It may interest you to know what some of these opinions were. When this question about sex was asked, Ama gave a big smile (using Ama for security reasons) and said, I see nothing wrong with going to bed with a boy friend or a fianc of which my parents are aware of. When I asked Ama to elaborate her answer, she replied with an outburst of laughter, Because parents are the most important witnesses when people are in a relationship. 5
As we take a look at Amas answer, most of us might either have the same opinion or share a different opinion from hers. Whatever our perceptions about sex are, the Bible clearly spells out how sex must be. For this cause will a man go away from his father and his mother and be joined to his wife; and they will be one flesh (Genesis 2:24) This Bible verse is a common verse usually cited by people. This verse is such common that anyone who has witnessed a marriage ceremony before is familiar with it. Indeed the verse might be common but the content of it is never common. Many people say it without taking a critical look at it. What this verse is actually saying is that sex was made for marriage couples. That scripture you see is in two folds. 6
For this cause will a man go away from his father and his mother and be joined to his wife. This part of the scripture implies that for a man to have the necessary mandate to have sex with a lady, he must in the first place perform the necessary marriage rites- thus doing whatever a man is suppose to do before he can call a woman his wife or a man and a woman coming together as husband and wife. This is what the be joined to his wife above means. They will be one flesh. You just think carefully about this part of the scripture; the man and the woman are separate individuals so how can they become one. Does this suppose that there must be a recreation where 7
these two will be forged? Absolutely not; but rather what it means is that they will become one through sex. That is whenever a man and a woman have sexual intercourse; there is a bond in spirit, soul and body. These are not mere words but of Biblical prove. The Scripture says: You know that your bodies are parts of the body of Christ. Shall I take a part of Christ's body and make it part of the body of a prostitute? Impossible! Or perhaps you don't know that the man who joins his body to a prostitute becomes physically one with her? The scripture says quite plainly, The two will become one body (1Corinthians 6:15-16). This should tell you that sex is not like sachet water which anyone can just buy 8
to drink whenever he feels like. It is Gods special way of uniting a man and a woman. The moment you have sex with someone it means you now share certain things in common, being it blessings or curses. Now considering the scripture one more time, we get to know that the joining together through marriage comes before becoming one flesh; this implies that marriage comes before sex. The young men and women out there should therefore be cautious about the way they react to their sexual desires. Whenever you sleep with someone outside marriage it is tantamount to having a blood covenant or an oath with a person. Indirectly, what it means is that you have vowed to spend your entire life with your sex partner. This 9
consequently brings upon the partners the responsibility of sharing each others blessings and curses. Son or daughter of God hear this, there is something we call trans-generational curse. If there is a generational curse that, women or men in your sex partners family are not suppose to have children, you now become part of this curse since you are sharing things in common. This thing has been the cause of some women not having children. They have made a covenant with a man in whose family there is that curse of barrenness. These same women go round calling the mothers witches. Young woman, the only solution is to give your life to Christ and He will help you out. Some men too are not progressing in life because they have made covenants with women in whose family, there are
curses of poverty. Young people, you need to be careful; sex is for marriage couples. If you have fallen into such mess, be rest assured Jesus is ever ready to save you. If anyone be in Christ he is a new creature; old things are passed away (2Cor 5:17). Someone will say, But you said you are dealing with pornography, where from this issue of sex. We are dealing with sex over here because pornography will eventually lure you into sex. We wanted you to know how dangerous sex before marriage is.
Is it good for a Christian to watch pornography?

Porn is porn. It does not matter the form it takes; whether violent or nonviolent. As far as it is explicit and is intended to arouse sexual desire in a person it can 11
be considered as porn. Let me start by saying that there are certain parts of the human body which are usually exposed in our days which also constitute forms of pornography. For instance a man exposing his chest, a lady exposing some part of her breast, stomach, thighs and any other part of the human body which God in His own wisdom created to be kept covered for an intended purpose. You will sincerely bear with us that these named parts of the body are easily capable of arousing sexual desire in people. Someone may not know that he or she for all this while has been a participant in displaying porn materials. If you didnt know, now you know. Better repent.
Some people argue that the imperativeness of pornography depends on the context in which it is displayed. They categorize this into two. Thus some say it is good for married couples but not singles. Others too argue that it doesnt matter weather the person is married or not. Whether married or single, advocates of porn claim that it is a means of teaching people the right way to have sex. If that is so then one would also argue that when the first couples (Adam and Eve) were created, there was nothing like porn. How were they able to produce? Beloved, let us not be deceived by the devil. In the first place we would say that those who act pornographic movies are themselves the devils incarnates. No one who is filled with the spirit of 13

God will avail him or herself for such an act. We will from here be talking a lot about the film aspect of porn since it is the most common in this present age. No one can conclude that those who act porn movies are married couples. We have porn stars who work for porn industries. We can straight away say that the man and the woman in the porn movie are fornicating. The question is; as Christians do we expect an act of fornication to teach us how to have sex? In fact, this goes to the married couples. Such an act is unclean before God. How then do you have to learn from such an unholy act? Since you are God's people, it is not right that any matters of sexual immorality or indecency or greed
should even be mentioned among you. (Ephesians 5:3) Good old Apostle Paul was admonishing Christians not to even allow such a conversation be mentioned among us. How much more watching it? The origin of porn makes it clear that it started as a result of demons influence on people. Married couples hear me out; Pornography is never good for you. It will always lead you to destruction. Pornography over the years has caused a lot of broken marriages. The kinds of things they do in pornography are just illusions which can never be achieved in real marital situations. There is a story of these couples who in their opinion wanted new knowledge about sex and 15

consequently resorted to porn as a means. After watching it for sometime the man became an addict and as a result had no sexual desire for his spouse again. Whenever the wife is away, he will watch it to his satisfaction, having no desire for his wife anymore. The woman on the other hand dissatisfied with her husbands attitude resorted to what she watched in the porn movie by practicing fornication. Finally the marriage broke up. This was a great opportunity for the devil to penetrate and deprive this once happily lived couples their joy. It is about time we pray to God that we become aware of the wiles of the devil against us. The devil is always looking for measures to put you in hell. The fact 16
is when you are watching porn movie; you watch the people engaged in the sexual intercourse. What happens at that moment is that you desire or wish that you were in the position of either the man or the woman. Some kind of lust arouses within you. Meanwhile the Bible concludes that anyone who looks at a woman and wants to possess her is guilty of committing adultery with her in his heart.( Matthew 5:28) The scripture does not apply to men alone but women as well. You are looking at the nakedness of someones husband, someones wife; stop for you are sleeping with someones spouse in your heart which is synonymous to fornication. We become vulnerable to destruction as we give in to things that arouse our libido. This is something 17
which God does not want. It is a sin before the eyes of God. Oh God have mercy! Porn will lead you to infidelity. Such a sin nearly caused King David his throne and life; the man whom the bible describes as a man after Gods heart. Let us look at this account at 2Samuel 11:13. One day, late in the afternoon, David got up from his nap and went to the palace roof. As he walked around up there, he saw a woman taking a bath in her house. She was very beautiful. So he sent a messenger to find out who she was, and learned that she was Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite. David sent messengers to get her; they brought her to him and he made love to her. (She 18
had just finished her monthly ritual of purification.) Then she went back home. From this scripture, we find that David only reacted when he saw the nakedness of the lady. He could not control himself. Beloved, let us not be swollen headed about what we can do in the Lord but must be vigilant to avoid the untouchables. No matter the level of anointing you operate from, if you resort to porn, it will definitely make you a victim of lust which produces fornication, adultery, masturbation, lesbianism, homosexuality, incest etc. In spite of the anointing upon David, the Bible says he couldnt control himself when he saw the nakedness of the woman. The most dreadful aspect is; there is always a price to pay when you 19
commit such a sin. Because David couldnt control himself the Lord became angry with him and punished him. In the chapter 12 of this same book God has this to say; I swear to you that I will cause someone from your own family to bring trouble on you. You will see it when I take your wives from you and give them to another man; and he will have intercourse with them in broad daylight (2Samuel 12:11) So they set up a tent for Absalom on the palace roof, and in the sight of everyone Absalom went in and had intercourse with his father's concubines (2Samuel 16:22). If God did not spare his servant David, the man after His heart, do you think He will spare you? Tell me, how different is 20
this from watching porn? The problems of David started only when he looked at the nakedness of a woman. Beloved I dont know but it could happen that you have being watching the nakedness of a man or a woman I mean porn. Stop because it can cost you your life. Remember, hell is real. Hear this; everything about pornography is disgusting to God. Some thing terrible happened in Gen 38 to one of Judahs sons and I know you cannot wait to hear it. But Onan knew that the children would not belong to him, so when he had intercourse with his brother's widow, he let the semen spill on the ground, so that there would be no children for his brother. What he did 21
displeased the LORD, and the LORD killed him also (Genesis 38:9 -10) Judah had a son called Er. Er married but died shortly without any children with the wife. By the Levirate law, as it is termed, if a Jew died without children, his nearest brother or kinsman was bound to marry the widow, that her firstborn son after this marriage might be reckoned the son and heir of the first husband. Onan knowing that the kids wouldnt be his refused to allow his semen enter his brothers wife. He rather spills it on the ground. The Lord became angry and killed him. Before God it was such a disgusting act. This scripture in one way or the other is again a note of caution to those who think condom is the best way for them to have sexual intercourse. If you are not ready for marriage abstinence always 22
remains the best. Dear reader, how is this different from porn. What those people have being doing is never Gods ultimate plan for sex. There is this truth many people have not realized. The ultimate goal of sex is not satisfaction. There is no doubt that satisfaction is part of sex but the primary aim as intended by God was for reproduction. The satisfaction is automatic yet not the primary goal. When the man and the woman were created, God said: Have many children, so that your descendants will live all over the earth and bring it under their control (Genesis 1:28) It is the perception that sex is all about satisfaction that have made a lot of young people engage themselves in sex. The scripture above should tell you something. Sex is not just anything to 23
bluff with. It is a special thing reserved for married couples only. Under no circumstance should a Christian engage his or herself in sex before marriage. Apostle Paul again says: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (Romans 12:1) One thing people dont know also about porn is that like the Bible says that the Lord inhabits the worship of his people, so does the devil also inhabit the worship of his people. Porn is influenced by the devil so whenever a person gives in to porn, the heart and the immediate environment becomes a fertile ground for the devil to inhabit. The devil is therefore able to use you for 24
his intended purposes. This has been the cause of many men raping and defiling young and little girls. At that moment, the presence of the devil is activated, and the person is unable to think right. He is in a hurry to use anything at all to satisfy his sexual desire hence total disgrace. Pornography has even caused miscarriages in some pregnant women. Like I said, you have made the grounds a perfect place for the devil. Do not forget that the Bible again says that the devil comes to steal, to destroy and to kill. He comes in and cause miscarriages and sexual maniacs in your home. Young person out there, be careful with porn. It will either make you pregnant or make you impregnate someone. This will consequently be a stumbling block to your educational goals, career and 25
anything at all important you might want to achieve. When we talk of sexual immorality is not just about what you do but also about what you watch. I mean pornography. You are definitely aware that God hates this. When issues like these are raised, some people tend to be offended just because they feel we are being too spiritual. The fact is we do not own our lives as Christians. You have been bought with a price. You must therefore surrender to the call of the sustainer of your life. His name is Jesus. We must live according to the standards He wants us to live. We cant just enter into things because almost every one fancies it (Exodus 23:2).
Do not follow the majority when they do wrong or when they give testimony that perverts justice. (Exo 23:2) Some may presume: But my Pastor once encouraged us about porn. Yes your pastor might have encouraged you but as human he is fallible. And because humans are bound to make mistakes doesnt mean that some of us are not genuine. I will advise you not to cling to what the multitude are doing but to rather become a doer of Gods word. The Scripture says: You have spent enough time in the past doing what the heathen like to do. Your lives were spent in indecency, lust, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and the disgusting worship of idols (1Peter 4:3) 27

There is something youve got to understand; we do not live in the old ways anymore. Christ now lives in us. We can no longer live like how the world lives. This is how God will want every one of us to live our lives: From now on, then, you must live the rest of your earthly lives controlled by God's will and not by human desires (1Peter 4:2)
Effects of Porn on Individuals and Societies

Porn can never save your marriage. Neither can it help you in anyway. It will just deprive you of your happiness. Pornography has been a major cause of teenage pregnancies, STDs, broken marriages, spiritual attacks like madness, barrenness, death and even armed robbery. You ask how? I will tell 28
you. When a young person becomes so much addicted to porn he or she does everything possible to get the resources to keep him going. This is where it all starts. The young person will need money for the porn CDs, a computer, a TV or a DVD player. At that level the young person is not working. How then does he get these things? He rather steals - gradually from parents, friends, neighbors and finally from afar. That is how Kojo or Kwame becomes a big time armed robber. Parents are cautioned to watch out very carefully. As at 2004 studies showed that 59% of 15 to 24 year olds involved themselves in sex before they were ready due to watching of porn on the internet. Train the children the way they should go and they will never depart from it when they are old (Prov 6:22). Porn has deprived villages,

towns, cities and nations their happiness. It is about time even legal measures concerning porn be taken seriously. It is really sad, looking at the fact that some nations have and are legalizing porn. In 1968 for instance, porn was first legalized in Denmark. What a shame! Dont we know we are calling for Gods judgment upon ourselves? Sodom and Gomorrah practiced porn and the Lord punished them. Same incident happened in Gibeah in the territory of the tribe of Benjamin and the Lord punished the people there also. Judges 19 A young man and his wife had traveled and were very tired. Night came as they reached Gibeah and they abode in the house of a kind man. The men of Gibeah 30
being filthy homosexuals flagrantly attack these strangers and rape the woman from a day before till morning. Their original idea was to sleep with the man himself but after a long hot argument between the two groups, there was a consensus that the lady should sacrifice. Son of God, I wish you were there; these pervert brutally raped the lady mercilessly from that day till the following morning. Thorough study of this scripture will tell you that the lady did not survive. She eventually died. God had his own way for punishing them for what they did. Confirm this yourself over here; They were enjoying themselves when all of a sudden some sexual perverts from the town surrounded the house and started beating on the door. They said to 31
the old man, "Bring out that man that came home with you! We want to have sex with him! But the old man went outside and said to them, "No, my friends! Please! Don't do such an evil, immoral thing! This man is my guest. Look! Here is his concubine and my own virgin daughter. I'll bring them out now, and you can have them. Do whatever you want to with them. But don't do such an awful thing to this man!" But the men would not listen to him. So the Levite took his concubine and put her outside with them. They raped her and abused her all night long and didn't stop until morning. Jdg 19:2225 Are you asking how this is in relation with porn? People of God, listen to this; these perverts did not have sex with the lady in secret. This is something you 32
must know. They did it openly. That is at the sight of the public. The second point over here is that; there were many people having sex with the lady at a time; you just imagine the pains the lady might have gone through at the time. They did not just rape her, they abused her as well. The third point is they were sleeping with other mans wife and the bible says curse be on anyone who sleeps with other peoples wives. (Lev 20:10-22) Beloved, let us not be deceived. Are all these things mentioned above not seen in porn? It would therefore be credible to say that porn contributes to the reasons why people engage in group sex and bestiality (sexual intercourse between a person and an animal). More so it 33
would never be wrong to admit that porn has intensified the rape of women and other sex crimes around the globe. The Federal Bureau of Investigation in the US for instance stated in 2008 that it has found pornography at 80% of the scenes of violent sex crimes, or in the homes of the perpetrators. There is something I want you to grasp; the people of Gibeah were also people of Israel because they were from the tribe of Benjamin as the scripture puts it (Jdg 19:14). You know what? Because of this disgusting act they did, the other tribes of Israel came together and killed almost all the people of Gibeah. They are one family but do you see where porn has landed them? What I want you to understand is that porn has always been an arsenal of disintegration by the 34
devil. Men be careful; because it can make you run after other mens wives and you would be killed eventually. Watching porn and seeing the men flirting will never let you be satisfied with your wife alone. You might even be looking for a certain feature you saw on that lady in the porn movie which your wife might not have. This can destroy your marriage. Women listen, so will you also look for a certain feature you saw on the man in the porn movie which your husband might not have. You will in time move out of your matrimonial home in search of this feature. You will eventually break the covenant you made before God that you will be with your husband till death does you apart. In 2003 for instance a meeting of an American Academy of matrimonial Lawyers revealed that two

thirds of the 350 divorced lawyers who attended the meeting were as a result of watching porn. There was this case of a 28 year old American lady, a product manager in New York City; she tolerated her fiancs pornographic habit but her fiancs admiration of bodies like that of porn stars made her insecure. She therefore planned to get breast implants. Look at where porn is leading this young lady to. Remember the scripture says I am coming with my reward to each and every one according to his works (Rev 22:12). What are your works? Is it relying on porn for help? Is it focusing all attention on the satisfaction you derive from sex in that you cannot even wait to get married before sex? Or are your works the matter of promoting 36
porn? Yes some people do promote porn; they sell porn materials to people, they invest in porn movies, others too use their bodies as means of promoting porn. A young lady will put her dress on and pump the breast thinking that she is looking sexy. You are promoting porn. Yes, because you are arousing the sexual desire of someone. Believe this, most decent men feel very uncomfortable with such kind of dressing. Dress decent for decent men to approach you. A young man goes to the gym just because he wants to develop the muscles for them to fit well in his attire. What do they do that for? Trust me; to attract ladies. You want to arouse the sexual desire of someone you are promoting pornography. Repent before it is too late. There is this uprising trend of porn in Ghana for instance which is

beyond imagination; young people video taping themselves whiles engaging in sex. The most disturbing part of it is that it is mostly found among tertiary students (universities and polytechnics). These are the same people whom our nation is looking up to; that someday they will take the nation to another level. Do we really think these so called backbonees will take the nation somewhere? Oh no!! Ghana needs very potent intercessory warriors. Many students are not performing well in school due pornography. A young person will watch porn and when he is in the classroom, all he could think about is the porn he watched last night. How can he concentrate? Anytime he tries to pay attention, the only thing he remembers is the porn scenes. Our television and 38
radio stations are also promoting porn. There are some kinds of movies and programs these media show and hold which also constitute porn. It is amazing looking at the fact that people are even advertising on drugs that will help women not to get pregnant when they indulge in unprotected sex. In other words these people are seriously encouraging people to have sex; whether married or unmarried. Porn is now rife and rampant on the internet, sometimes uninvited and at times through eagerly forwarded links. It titillates 24/7 on the so called adult cable channels. The technology factor in our world today has made it more than easy to get access to porn materials. An individual who would have feel so ashamed to be asking for a porn CD to buy can now be in the comfort of his 40
room and still gain access to porn with just a click. It is indeed astonishing considering how the internet has contributed to the easy access of porn materials over the years. There was this rapid increase from 28000 to 4.2 million porn materials between 1998 and 2007 (Promotion & Education Vol. Xv, No. 1 2008). In the entire all we want to say is that pornography has the capacity to alter the users mental, emotional, spiritual and social attributes. Hear me friends; we must turn off the porn. Pornography is undeniably addictive. Those who are lucky never to have watched it are cautioned not to try by any means to watch. Many were held prisoners by porn for as long as ten and over years before they were freed. It really has a long term mental effects. Dr. 41
Jeffrey Satinover, an American psychiatrist wrote the following as part of his testimony before the Massachusetts Senate Subcommittee on Science, Technology, and Space during a hearing on pornography addiction (2004 Nov 18). Like cigarettes, that particular form of expression we call pornography, unlike all other forms of expression, is a delivery system that has a distinct and powerful effect upon the human brain and nervous system. Exactly like cigarettes, and unlike any other form of expression, this effect is to cause a powerful addiction (p. 6). This attests to the fact that apart from any other reason for which porn must not be tolerated, it is addictive and also 42
poses dangerous threats to the health of the user. It is therefore never an exaggeration to assert that pornography is a killer hence must be completely eradicated from the system.
Remedies for Porn Addicts

As you go through this message, you have realized that you have not being living to the will of God. You want to put things right but you dont know how. There is nothing impossible with God and it doesnt matter the quantum of your sins, God is capable of saving and forgiving you. The best way out of your problem is sincerely coming out of your heart and telling God that youve sinned and that he should forgive you. Note this, the fact that youve read this message and prayed to God for forgiveness does not mean the devil 43
would not attack you with pornography again. He will tempt you by all means to get you back to it but I want to encourage you today to have self control. Never heed to the subtle utterances of the wicked one. Look forward to God and build a strong relationship with him. I know some of us cannot do it all by ourselves. Never feel shy to seek counseling from your pastor or any other spirit filled man of God you think would be capable of helping you out. This is really important because of the attack you would be receiving from the devil all the time. Never forget to study the bible. Stop living according to your bodily desires and let the spirit of God lead you. 44
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. (Prov. 4:20-21)
Seven Steps to Help you Break the Shackles of Porn

1. Accept Jesus as your personal savior if you have not 2. Make the bible your friend and ask the Holy Spirit for understanding whiles you read it everyday (at least one chapter a day). 3. Join friends who will encourage you to pray everyday (pray on your own as well). 4. Have self control. 5. Keep distance from porn materials (Destroy all porn materials available). 45
6. Stop companying with peers who will lead you to the act. 7. Evangelize; let others be aware of how dangerous porn is. This will surely shape your life since you will definitely try to practice what you preach. Rev Kenneth Hagin has this to say; We shouldnt tune out Gods Word. We need to open up our ears. In opening up our ears to His Word, we are closing our ears to everything thats contrary to what God says. So many times, we listen to what God says, but we also listen to what So-and-so says. We begin listening to this person or that person, but its only what God says that matters! Its important for us to open our ears to the Word of God and turn off everything else so that our 46
undivided attention is on what God has to say. That is where the victory is. You see, when you close your ears to outside things and keep your ears open to the Word of God you are closing your ears to fear, doubt, and unbelief. What we hear is very important, because what we hear and pay attention to is what we will respond to. Aside the above porn is a social issue and it is very important that social leaders get involved to create a protective environment. Rules and regulations must be established to provide punitive measures that deal with those who promote pornography; thus those who act and those who sell porn materials. If we are to sit and leave people do whatever they want just because of human right issues, then for 47
some time to come our world would be no different from that of the jungle, so to speak. In cases like human right issues, we must consider whether the majority of the masses are affected adversely or not. The pornography industry has little or no accountability for the social ills its products exert on both users and nonusers. So far as pornography and single sex issues (homosexuality and lesbianism) have adverse effects on majority of the masses it must be frown upon and perpetuators brought to book. We wish that what we are suggesting would fall into good ears. There are a lot of suggestions about social issues which are left aloof. Who is ready to hear you when you are talking sense? Jesus said; the words I give cannot be accepted by the world because they are not of the world. You would talk and talk but to

no avail when it comes to social issues. This is the main reason why you must judge and decide things for yourself. The only way to be decisive enough is to hear what God is telling you. We wish that social leaders could do something about porn but if nothing is done yet we should not sit unconcerned. We must strive to position our souls in heaven. If world leaders have refused to change situations for good, let us in our position as children of God and candidates of heaven change situations for the best. Yes we can; God is with us. Heaven knows us and will hear us when we speak. Let us come together to help turn off the porn. Pornography has the power of creating high sexual arousal and may lead to unacceptable sexual behaviors and sin. I 49
beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service (Rom 12:1). Amen If you want to give your life to Christ you can join me in this prayer; Dear Jesus, I thank you for your word today. I have realized that I have not being living according to your word. I accept that I have sinned against you. Deliver me from my transgressions and forgive me of my sins. I declare that I am your temple and will never again allow anything filthy to live in me. I ask that the Holy Spirit will come upon me this day to help me in my weakness. You are welcome into my heart oh precious Spirit of God. Father I ask that my name will be listed among the list of 50
your children. I declare from now that I am a child of God. The glory of the Lord lives in me; in the mighty name of Jesus have I prayed. Amen.
