THE SERVCE Aircraft Service


Provision of aircraft for AAR/AT operations Includes handling, rectification, scheduled maintenance at MOB facilities 14 New A330-200 All 2-point tankers Five 3-point tankers 13 DAS All 285 pax 9 aircraft fitted for 40-stretcher aeromed (4 with at any one time) All aircraft 6-stretcher or CCAST aeromed capable Aircraft will be on either military or civil register

THE SERVCIE Crewing Service

Provision of Sponsored Reserve aircrew for wartime surge requirement


7 ATr SR crews alongside 30 Mil crews

Civilian Cabin Crew to assist with service

Training for all personnel involved with FSTA


Aircrew Engineers Movements Ops Support Logisticians Caterers Fire and Rescue

Airborne Role Training will be completed by RAF Instructors

What it Delivers
To do this AirTanker needs to establish: JAR and EASA approved Operations for Maintenance and Training organisations Operating and Maintenance procedures which enable a Commercial aircraft to operate simultaneously in both Military and Commercial environments Obtain and Air Operators Licence As civil as possible as military as necessary

Transfer responsibility of running the AAR fleet to industry Provides modern and efficient Aircraft Provides modern infrastructure and training facilities

What it Delivers Transfer of risk to the private sector Service Risk with ATr Design and Production Risk with ATr Cannot transfer the Capability Risk Guarantees, Tariffs and Service Credits incentivse delivery BUT if the Service and Design risks not properly managed Capability risk materialises

What It Delivers
A global Air to Air Refuelling and passenger Air Transport capability Main Operating Base (MOB) situated at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire. Deep maintenance of aircraft to be undertaken at MOB Full training facility (including simulator) at MoB Fleet Management and logistics support Aircraft and capability to be provided wherever it is required by the RAF
