Our Story
Before we started doing online business, my partners and I were once jobless, very poor and under a lot of debt but now we are all self employed, financially free and we actually work from our houses. What do we do? The only thing we do is online business.
Imagine, just a few years ago we used to spend endless days and nights browsing for jobs online, applying endlessly and with desperation. We knew about every aptitude test that was going on and how to answer all the types of questions. We wrote countless interviews and even got scammed by some companies just because we were desperate for a job.
But today we are not in the least bit interested in working for anybody. We can sleep and wake anytime we like. Go out anytime we like, travel, take vacations anytime, work from the Internet any where we are located and enjoy a more

relaxed life. Online business has also helped us to take better care of ourselves and uplift our families.
Is Online Business Real?

Let me be honest with you, online business is very good and can be very lucrative with money virtually pouring into your bank account like rain every month even while you are sleeping.
But surprisingly, 95% of the people who are trying to do online business do not make anything at all. Why, you may ask. I'll tell you. The problem is not that online business is not real. The problem is how they are doing it. Most people doing online business in Nigeria don't know how to do it and that is the reason why they fail.
Through the help and inspiration of the Almighty Jehovah Yahweh God (may HIS name be Praised forever!), my partners and I have been favoured enough to develop systems which are now working for us and generating a very comfortable income for us and our company every month.

Developing the Online Business Mentality

Welcome to Lecture 1 of this powerful e-training course. As I mentioned yesterday, online business can be a very lucrative venture and there are many people here in Nigeria who are actually making a hell of money doing it. But despite this fact, it is also true that more than 95% of those who venture into the business end up failing.
For this reason, it is of key importance that before we go into the nitty gritty of starting online business proper, we must first take a look at the reasons why most online businesses fail and what you can do to prevent yourself from also failing too.
Why Do Most Online Businesses Fail?

Most people dont make money from online business in Nigeria due to three main reasons:

Let us take a look at each one of these reasons in greater detail.
1. Ignorance and wrong information:

Making money online is not an easy task. To succeed you need to have specific knowledge coupled with insider details and information from those who have done it and actually made money not just once but repeatedly. You need to understand how the internet works; how online advertising and marketing in general works. You need to be aware of the hidden methods and secrets of growing an audience or a list of prospects. You also need to understand how search engines work and how they can affect your revenues.
Unfortunately, most people who venture into this business do not have the complete knowledge about how these things work and what they should or should not do. Many of these people come across partial information from sources like websites and badly written ebooks etc but because the information is not complete or partially correct, they end up failing in their venture.
Many of such websites and e-books are created by people who tried the business but failed so they want to make money by hoodwinking unsuspecting people into thinking that they are gurus. Meanwhile all they offer is the same incomplete, irrelevant and sometimes totally wrong information that they themselves could not make money with.
For you to succeed, you need to learn from people who have actually done this thing and succeeded. Learn from their experience and valuable insights. The only challenge you might face is how to know who is fake and who is real. But not to worry, at the end of this mini-course you will be in a much better position to distinguish between scammers and genuine gurus.
2. Unseriousness and Laziness

This mainly has to do with people who learnt about this business for free or who were deceived into thinking that they can make millions overnight by doing little or nothing. When things are not moving as fast as they imagined or were told, they easily give up. They got the info for free, got a website for free, tried it for a couple of weeks expecting instant results, saw no results, got discouraged and gradually lost their commitment because they had nothing to lose by giving up. But as I always like to say: if setting it up had cost them 1 Million naira, these people would have taken the business much more seriously and shown far more commitment.
In fact this is the exact reason why I chose to charge for my Masters in Online Business package of e-books and not give them out for free like the other ones, even though I claim to be trying to help the youths of Nigeria to empower themselves. Charging for the package is to ensure that anybody who buys them must take the business very seriously and show the needed level of commitment.
I used to do the M.O.B for free but noticed that people were not taking it seriously enough so I started charging for the course and behold, I suddenly started getting a lot of testimonies.
Online business is full of challenges and I have since realised that people will only show the needed level of seriousness when they have to pay for the ebooks because then they will feel that they have something to lose if they do not put in their best. I only have time to teach serious people so please don't ask me to help you by giving you the materials for free because that will not help you.

Seriousness, commitment and dedication are the major ingredients that got us to where we are today despite the many failures we experienced so it is critical that anyone who is attempting this online business must view it with the utmost seriousness for him/her to succeed. If someone knows that he has put in money to obtain this information then he will always consider the cost of failure and be motivated to put in his/her very best. Only when you are damn serious about it can you succeed in this business of ours.
3. Lack of Perseverance and Patience Making money online is not easy at all. Please dont let anybody deceive you into thinking otherwise just because they want you to buy their e-book or software. Most times the gains of online business do not come immediately and you may sometimes need to keep working and learning (and even failing) for up to one year, maybe more before you will start seeing big profits.
The good side of it is that once you gather enough experience and start making money, it will get to the point where it keeps on increasing and increasing every month while your work load will keep decreasing and decreasing until you wont need to do anything much for the money to continue coming.
Truly it is a beautiful thing and there is no other business like it in existence today. People are not willing to wait for money to start flowing in like a waterfall. They start today and expect to see big profits overnight. The problem is that many of the fake "gurus" give people the impression that they can make money overnight without having to do much at all. Unfortunately it doesnt work that way. Only in extremely rare cases can this be true but most of the time, it's false.

In online business, results can be very volatile and unpredictable especially when you do not already have a proven strategy that works. In our case, it took us about 10 years of failures, anxiety, setbacks, trial and error before we were able to evolve our present methods. Luckily for you, you will not have to go through the same stress because all you need to do now is to learn from our experience and follow our lead. But this does not mean that you won't fail at least once, twice or even thrice. The trick is not to give up but to try and try again every time you fail.
Although there is a certain kind of business that can actually get you profits within a few weeks, the majority of online businesses typically take between 9 and 12 months before you can expect to start seeing any tangible yields and results. Until then, its virtually all sweat with little returns.
The only way you can speed the process up is to spend money on advertising. But if you want to follow the free, no-expense, no-capital method, then you need to prepare yourself to wait for 9 to 12 months or more before you can expect anything above N40,000 or N50,000 regularly.
Some people are not ready to wait for a year. They forget that if they dont take action and start something today, they may still be looking for a job or for a better life one year from now. One year is really a short time and the sooner you start the better.
Even if you are a worker, student or otherwise currently engaged in some occupation or activity that takes up your time, you can still do it part time. Online business has the long term potential to give you revenues many times

higher than what you will ever receive as a salary earner. Therefore the earlier you start out on the journey, the better because, sincerely, time no dey again.
Develop the Right Mentality

For you to succeed in online business, you need to cast away all doubts and believe that you can and will succeed. You should not expect too much too soon and dont set your expectations too high so that you will not get disappointed or discouraged when they are not met on time.
In my whitepaper titled The Psychology of Online Success, I posited that success in any online business is hinged on three key pillars which I call 3M: Mindset, Method and Motivator.
Mindset
You must believe that you will succeed and expect to succeed. You must set goals for yourself and strive to reach them. Do not expect too much too soon. Always seek to learn more and improve on your skills.
One of the very first people that took my course actually took the pains to go to a computer school to improve on her computer skills before embarking on her online business. In just six months she was already making an average N35,000 monthly. I spoke with her recently and she informed me that she has bought a land and is now planning to get a car. All from doing online business using the techniques in our ebooks.

Friend, this could also be your story. Imagine having the money to do anything you want to do. You can take care of your family, your children, your parents, build your own house, buy cars, start other businesses, settle down and get married (if you are still single). Therefore you must continually tell yourself that you will succeed in your online business and that you are prepared to do whatever it takes no matter how long it takes you. Develop this mentality and pretty soon, you will become rich beyond your wildest imagination.
Method
You must use the right methods that have been proven to work and you must continue to experiment, refine and seek out information and better methods that will generate the most gains from the least effort. For example, the methods explained in our e-book package "The Masters in Online Business (M.O.B.)" are methods which we have developed and refined over the course of many years.
Although what we suggest in the MOB course is not the only way to do online business, the important thing is that the techniques described in it are what we are using and they are working for us and for hundreds other of our students who are also using it. This makes us certain that if you follow those same methods and with God on your side then they will also work for you. Later on in this course I shall talk more about the M.O.B package and how you can get it if you are interested but for now let's talk about the third pillar.

Motivator
This third pillar has proved to be controversial for some of my critics because it recommends religion or a strong belief in a higher being or a higher cause as being a success factor for online business. But I always tell these critics that I speak from my own experience.
I have come to understand that a vital aspect of mans success and prosperity lies greatly in how much he/she believes in and is motivated by a noble cause or a higher intelligence. Having a motivating force is vital for online business success.
I attribute the entirety of my success to the Christian God, The Almighty Yahweh the Merciful and Supreme God. He is my motivator and I look up to Him for guidance, inspiration and support. Every single piece of knowledge in my brain was brought my way by Him and He also gave my partners and I the intelligence to understand the information and put it to profitable use.
I pay tithes, give offerings, give alms and give aid to the needy and underprivileged according to what He asks of us. Im not blowing my trumpet but Im trying to make a point. Give and it shall be given unto you is a law of nature. The more you give, the more you get in return.
I was born a Catholic Christian and went to Church regularly until 2007 when I stopped. This was at the height of my frustration and I felt there was no need to acknowledge God and view His matter with any seriousness. This period was also the height of an immoral life for me. Despite the fact that I was finding life very difficult, near-frustration forced me to start drinking, smoking and chasing girls trying to sleep with them.

But, by the Grace of God, on the 1st of March 2009, God led me to a Church service for the first time in 3 years and it was life changing. Ive been going to Church ever since and Ive experienced great changes and renewed inspiration and motivation through my closer contacts with God and belief in His supreme authority and in His Son Jesus Christ the King. And this has been the greatest factor in my online business success.
The Importance of Faith and Belief

I do not mean to say that you must be a Christian to succeed in Online Business. What I mean is that you should believe in a higher power other than yourself. This power you must look up to for help, motivation and inspiration.
Psychologists have confirmed that a strong belief in something, usually a higher power, to whom one looks up to for help can bring about strong changes and trigger the processes that cause our strongest desires to happen. No matter what religion you belong to, you must go the extra mile to do the things required of you by your religion to ensure the success of your activities. You must also learn to be good to others, tolerant of other peoples views and give to others in cash and kind according to your beliefs.
For a Christian, confessing, believing and accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour is paramount. Tithing, offering, praise, worship, repentance from sins, thanksgiving and testimony are also very important. All these things I try to do and I can testify that this is the REAL secret of my success online. If you are not a Christian, find out the things that your religion or belief system requires you to do to succeed in your activities and then do them.

Find Your Mentor

A mentor is someone whom you can continually look up to for advice and guidance. This must be someone who has actually made (and is still making) money from online business. There are many of these possible mentor types online both in foreign lands and here in Nigeria.
Although most of the very successful guys are actually the foreigners like Jeremy Shoemoney, Darren Rowse, John Chow etc, there are also a few Nigerians who have figured it out too and are sharing their methods with others. People like Akin Alabi, Dr. Ojeagbase (of Success Digest Extra) and my very humble self are just a few of these.
All of these people are accessible through their websites and as you go along, you will definitely come across more of them. You don't have to stick with one mentor. In my case, I learn from all of them to better myself and I suggest you do the same too.

What you Need to Start Online Business in Nigeria

Hope you are enjoying this course and learning some new things? Today I shall be telling you about the necessary things required before you can start doing online business in Nigeria.
At its most basic stage, online business can be done by anyone with minimal computer knowledge and access to the Internet. Whether you are a student, Corper, Jobless Graduate, Worker, Self Employed, Gainfully employed, Retired, Housewife, Nursing mother or even pregnant, you can engage in the business. In short, online business can be done by anyone either on full time or part time basis.
Before I mention what is needed to start, I must also warn you seriously that making money online is not easy at all and is not child's play. Please dont let anybody deceive you into thinking otherwise just because they want you to buy their e-book or software. Most times the gains of online business do not come immediately especially if you are new to it and you usually need to keep working and learning for up to one year, maybe more before you will start seeing great profits.
The good side of it is that once you gather enough experience and start making money, it will keep on increasing and increasing every month while your work load will keep decreasing and decreasing. Truly it is a beautiful thing and there is no other business like it in existence today.

To start online business you need to first LEARN how it is done. This is the main reason why many people dont succeed at their first few attempts. They do not realise that there are certain things that they need to learn first before they can have any chance of success. The learning process will take you about 3 months if you register for my MOB course.
Online business is a large field of knowledge which is comprised of seven major areas. I like to call them the 7 branches of online business. Before you can make money online in Nigeria or anywhere else in the world, you need to have working knowledge of each of these seven fields which make up the online business body of knowledge. They are:
1. Website Design and hosting (free and paid) 2. Keyword research 3. Search Engine Optimization 4. Content creation and Copywriting 5. Internet Marketing and Advertising 6. Basic Web programming with basic Graphics 7. Capturing subscribers and building lists
Although it is not compulsory to become a master in all the seven, it will help you a great deal if you possess an understanding of these fields before making your first serious attempt at online business, if not it will take you a much longer time to start getting regular monthly returns. The challenge for you therefore is to learn and practice these fields as much as you can to speed up your time to profits. This is the reason why I place great emphasis on teaching these 7 areas in my Online Masters course.

Things You Need

Following is a list of the major tools you need to have and some more things that you need to know before you can start online business in Nigeria:
An email address A USB Flash drive to store your files, software and downloads (if you do not have your own computer)
A normal savings or current or corporate account with any Nigerian Bank A domiciliary account (you do not need to have this before you start, you will only need it when you are about to get paid. This can be up to 6 months or more after you start).
You do not need paypal or clickbank. You do not need liberty reserve. At least 5 to 10 hours every week. For the first three months, your whole time will be dedicated to reading the necessary books and practicing. When you have learnt all that you need to learn, you can then go ahead and begin in earnest. The more time you can put in, the faster you will cover what needs to be learned.
If you are busy, you can try for one or two hours every day. If you chose to learn through my online Masters course, you will need to download a list of e-books and read them. E-books are electronic digital books that you download from the internet and read from a computer.
Once you have downloaded the books, you can read them on a computer or mobile device or print them out if you need hard copies.
The books can be read with desktop computers, laptops, smartphones and tablets. You do not need to be connected online to read the books.
You will need to be online to practice what you read in the books. Between 5 to 20 hours of internet time per week is OK.
If you do not have your own computer, you can store the materials and e-books in your flash so that you can access them from any computer.

You can read the e-books from your phone but you cannot do the actual business through a phone. You need to use a computer for that. Either a laptop or desktop or netbook (mini-laptop). It can be your own or someone else's own or a cafe.
Cost Implications
Some online businesses can be started with a free website and without any capital apart from internet costs, while some require a little startup capital. One common mistake many people venturing into online business make is that they fail to take into consideration the cost of regularly buying time at a cybercafe or paying for their internet service.
This is one of the ways that many of these so called gurus use in deceiving people. They will tell you that their method will not cost you anything to start and that you can make millions easily by spending little or nothing. But they fail to tell you that there will, of necessity, be certain costs associated with your internet access which you should budget for.
I must therefore warn you that unless you have completely free access to the Internet, you must take into consideration your browsing costs even though the actual business itself may not require money to start up. So while planning your budget, make sure that you will have access to funding for your browsing costs for as long as it takes before you start making money. In many cases this could be after many months.

Lecture 3:
Types of Online Businesses That You Can Do (Part 1)

Today we start digging into the main meat of this mini-course and we shall be talking in more detail about some specific online businesses that can be done in Nigeria, what is needed to start them and how much to expect. But let us first take a general look at the possible revenues and profits that you can make from online business as a whole and how soon you should expect to start getting anything.
There are two main categories of online business: the ones that have the potential to generate cash within the first few weeks and the ones that take some time to build before you get to the point where you can be making up to 50,000 Naira or more monthly.
Most of the internet businesses that can get you instant cash require you to invest a little amount in paid online advertising and the more advertising you are able to pay for, the greater the likelihood that you will begin to turn in profits within a short time. On the other hand, the types that dont require any investment usually take some months to grow (9 to 18 months) before you can expect returns in the range of N50,000 to N200,000 (depending on how serious you are).
Although you can actually start some online businesses without any capital, the truth is that the profit you will make and how fast you can make it is impacted greatly by the number of people you can reach and capture. This

number can be drastically increased through the use of paid online advertising on websites like Facebook, Google etc
In essence, although paid advertising is not mandatory for online business success, without it you should generally expect to wait much longer before your business will start turning in any reasonable profits. Luckily, online advertising can be very cheap and effective compared to other mediums like newspapers etc.
Today, I make most of my money from doing three main online businesses viz:
1. Amazon Affiliate marketing: (Referring people to Amazon.com, the worlds largest online store. You get commissions when people buy products through your link). Minimum startup: 0 naira (zero capital). You start making N30,000 (or more) monthly profits 9 12 months after learning. What you make increases monthly.
2. Pay per Click (Google AdSense): (You make money when people click on advertisement links placed on your website when you register with Google) Minimum startup: 0 naira (zero capital). You start making up to N30,000 (or more) monthly profits 9 to 15 months after learning. What you make increases monthly.
3. Information marketing: (Selling of e-books and digital products created by you or created by other people) Startup capital: Between N25, 000 and N47,000. You start making N40,000 to N100,000 monthly profits within 2 to 6 months after learning. It is also possible to start information marketing business without spending

anything but it will take much much longer before you start getting regular profits. The more money you put in, the more money you will make.
Now let us take a closer look at the first one of these three businesses:
Amazon Affiliate Marketing

In Amazon affiliate marketing, you will be referring people to Amazon.com the worlds largest online store and you get commissions when people buy products through your link. You can start with a free website and no other extra cost.
In affiliate marketing, the focus is on selecting good, profitable products from Amazon.com, creating a review webpage for the product and driving traffic to that page by improving its search engine rankings. A review is a post or page that contains details about a product including its good and bad sides and also recommendations as to whether the product is good enough to buy or not.
The whole process can be broken down into three steps viz:
Step 1: Select a good quality, high commission product and generate your affiliate links for that product. This could take you 48 hours to a week to complete this step.
Step 2: Create a very high quality review post or page packed full of useful, valuable and unique information about the product. Sprinkled inside the review will be your affiliate links leading to where the product can be bought. It could take a week or two to complete this step.

Step 3: Build quality links from other websites to the review page to increase the rankings of the page. You may also need to write a handful of articles that are related to the product that you are promoting and link these articles to the product review page. This is the most challenging step and could take up to 6 months for you to complete.
The downside about doing affiliate marketing in Nigeria is that if you are just starting out, you have to wait for many months (sometimes even up to one year!) before you can receive your first payment in a form that you can actually withdraw and spend. This long delay is not always the case and is mainly due to due to the nature in which Nigerian affiliate marketers get paid which is through cheque.
This cheque, which is a foreign cheque is sent by post from the USA (or whichever country the merchant company is located. If you are lucky, this cheque could take only a short time to get to you. And it will take an additional 21 days for it to be cleared and lodged in your account for withdrawal.
Things are easier for people living outside Nigeria as there are faster payment options available in many other countries but not available in Nigeria. Although other ways of receiving payment exist for Nigerians, the cheque is the most viable one that can be used in Nigeria at this time.
Because this is an introductory course, the step by step details of how to do affiliate marketing are beyond the scope of this mini-course. Despite the long delay in getting your first cheque, affiliate marketing still remains the one with the greatest long term prospects because once you are able to have everything set up, it only requires very little maintenance and it will continue to receive a continuous stream of free traffic and growing revenues from search engines like Google.
This is truly what is known as making money on autopilot. Whether you are asleep or awake or on holidays, the website will continue to generate cash for you without you taking any action or doing anything.
We only started serious affiliate marketing business in early 2011 and after roughly 12 months, we have created 9 affiliate websites and our company now regularly generates an average of $2,000 (N300,000) every month from our affiliate review websites on complete autopilot and this figure grows steadily as the months go by. We are now planning to build hundreds more of these websites so you can just imagine the possibilities.
As a beginner with affiliate marketing, it is wise to set your revenue goals on a low target like $70 or $100. Once you are able to hit $100 in commissions every month, you can be rest assured that your affiliate business is set to see steady growth.
A word of caution though, getting to $100 may take you many many months maybe even up to a year especially if it is your first time. The beginning of affiliate marketing is often very slow and full of uncertainty and anxiety from not knowing whether all your effort will pay off or whether you aren't just wasting your time. Success is not something that happens overnight therefore you should not expect too much too soon. All you need is patience, perseverance, faith and prayers.

Today I will be talking about the second of the three businesses that I mentioned in yesterday's lecture. This one is called Pay-Per-Click advertising or PPC. Just like Amazon affiliate marketing, you can also start PPC without any capital but it could take up to 15 months of nonstop dedicated work before you can start getting reasonable returns.
Pay Per Click Advertising

Pay-Per-Click advertising (or PPC) is when you have a website and you register with an advertising company so that they place their adverts on your website and when people visit, if they happen to click on those adverts, you get paid a commission.
The commission per click ranges from $0.01 (N1.65k) to $1 (N165) so the more people that click on the adverts, the more money you make. The most profitable of these advertising companies is Google and the name of their PPC program is AdSense.
If you get this one right, Google Adsense (pronounced "add - sense") is one of the best for generating long term profits that come in regularly and keep growing every month. In fact, it was through Google AdSense that we were able to make N225,000 every month last year from our website www.latestnigerianjobs.com

The AdSense program is owned and run by Google.com and although getting into the program is free, the major challenge is that it is not always easy to get approved and in extreme cases could take up to 6 months if you are not so lucky. Also there are a lot of rules guiding the program and it is easy for someone without experience to make mistakes which could lead to getting kicked out.
Another major challenge is that because of the payment method available in Nigeria, it could take an extra 3 to 6 months after approval and running of your website before your first payment finally hits your bank account. Provided you are doing it right and you don't get discouraged, you will eventually get to a point where the revenues will become a very reliable source of passive income.
To start with Google Adsense, you need to have a website (free or paid) and you need to update it regularly with information that people will be interested in so that when they visit your website they might like it enough to want to visit regularly and maybe even subscribe to be receiving updates whenever you post.
Before starting, you have to decide what type of website you want to build and what kind of information to put there. You must do your research to know what people will be interested in because if you put information that nobody is interested in you might end up wasting your time because you will not be able to attract many visitors and subscribers.
You generally need up to 3000 regular daily visitors and anything from 10,000 to 15,000 subscribers to be able to make anything from N50,000 and above Monthly with AdSense. It is easy to put down these figures here but in reality,

you will sweat and sweat for a long time before you can get this kind of daily visitor traffic that is why AdSense is definitely not for people who want instant money.
Although getting such an amount of daily visitors and subscribers could take up to a year or more to achieve, the beauty of AdSense is that once you are able to get to this point, the revenues start growing on its own without you doing much work and it gets to a point where the revenues start increasing every month and within the space of 18 to 24 months, you should be able to get up to N100,000 - N200,000 monthly regular income, maybe more provided you do the right thing.
Starting With Adsense

To start with Adsense you need the following:
1. A website (free or paid). We have a free e-book that describes how to build a free website, you can download it at www.ng44.com/freebooklet
2. A domiciliary account: Most Nigerian banks have this type of account. You won't need this at the beginning but when your cheque is ready to be sent, you will need this to be able to cash it. We use GTBank domiciliary account which we opened with a $100 minimum deposit (which you can withdraw later). The minimum deposit figure is however higher in some states but GTBank is not the only bank that has this type of account. Most of the other banks operate it too. You can go to any bank and ask for details about their domiciliary account.

3. A hot and popular subject for your website which people will be very interested in. The subject of a website is usually referred to as the "Niche" (pronounced nitch or nish). Most of the updates you make on your website and articles you write will center around the niche that you have selected. The niche must be in high demand for example entertainment, nollywood movies and celebrity gossip is one very hot niche in Nigeria today. An example of such website is www.nigeriafilms.com
There are also certain niches that are always popular like health and fitness (e.g dieting, weight loss), wealth creation and making money etc. Inability to get a popular niche is another common reason why most people fail. The fact that you feel that people might be interested in something on your website doesn't always mean that they will be interested. This is the reason why many beginners create a website and make some posts and don't understand why after six months nobody is visiting the website.
The bottom line is that if there are not enough interested people in the niche that you chose, then you will most definitely fail. But the good news is that there are proven techniques and software that you can use to research and find popular niches to try. There are many different ways to find a good niche to use but most of them are ineffective and outdated. In our two e-books, we explain in detail the most effective methods which the so called gurus are currently using and trying to hide from others.
4. Time and ability to write articles to put on your website (for starters you may need up to 30 articles). The articles need to be unique and of very high quality and packed with lots of information about the given topic. If you do not have the ability or the time to write the articles yourself, you could get someone around you to help out and if need be pay them. The important thing

is that the article must be of very good quality and contain unique and interesting information, not copied from another website.
5. Knowledge of SEO: SEO means Search Engine Optimization and deals with how to make your website easy to find by people searching for information online. SEO is of one of the seven branches of online business and is of paramount importance for long term growth and in the short term too especially if you do not have the funds to advertise on Facebook and Google. SEO is a very broad topic with various techniques and schools of thought.

AdSense is the most popular way of making money from websites in Nigeria. Most of the biggest websites in Nigeria like Nairaland, Vanguard, Naijahotjobs etc all use AdSense. In fact, some websites in Nigeria make up to $500 dollars (about N80,000 a day) from Adsense. Yes you heard me right, Eighty thousand naira EVERY SINGLE DAY just from AdSense alone. Unbelievable? Hmmm you havent seen anything yet.
You can use Adsense to make money from most types of websites like Forums, Social Networks, Blogs, Magazines, CMS etc. In Nigeria, the payments from AdSense are sent by Google every month in the form of a foreign cheque from their office in Ireland and delivered to you by DHL. You can cash the foreign check only with a domiciliary account.

In yesterday's lecture, I mentioned that today we shall be looking at the online business that has the potential to generate the quickest revenue for you so here we go:
Information Marketing
Information marketing, as the name implies, is basically about selling information to people online. This information is usually made available in soft copy and could take the form of e-books, reports (or e-booklets), videos, audio or any other format. For a country like Nigeria, e-books are generally easier and more accessible over the Internet than videos because of the slow internet connection speeds.
Don't let the word Marketing scare you. This is not face to face marketing and you do not need to meet anybody one on one or try to verbally convince anybody to buy anything. In info marketing, your web pages and email messages do all the marketing for you and all you have to do is sit back and wait for the payment alerts to start arriving on your phone.
In this type of online business, once you have set up the proper systems and have paid for online advertising, everything else is nearly automatic.
Information marketing is very good because you can begin to get returns within two or three months of starting up. Once the system is in place, all you

are required to do is monitor it occasionally to ensure that you are getting the desired response, and also monitor your bank account. When anybody buys from you, you verify their payment and forward the product to their email and that's it.
But unlike Google Adsense where you can start without any capital, to get fast and guaranteed results from information marketing, you need to invest a little amount to start up. The first sales you make can be reinvested into the business for better profits and after a short while, you will begin to turn in increasingly bigger and better profits as your list of prospects grows and more people get to know about you and your products.
Also you do not necessarily need to be the one to write this information that you market. There are places where you can buy the rights to resell already existing ebooks or hire someone to write for you.
In our MOB course that I've been talking about, people who register also get an e-book with the rights to resell so that they can start off with that therefore if you are planning to register for the course, you do not need to worry about something to start with. But if you do not have the necessary funds to buy resale rights or pay a writer, and if you do not register for my MOB course then you have no choice but to write your own e-book and hope that it is good enough for people to buy.
Once you have obtained the product, the next step is to promote and market it. There are two common approaches you could take to promoting it. The first approach is to build a list of prospective buyers by offering them something for free like a free e-book or a free email course. The strategy of building a list of prospective buyers is known as the indirect or autoresponder method. After

using the free stuff to lure them in and increase your credibility then you gently start to market to them. Since you have already captured their email, you can keep mailing and mailing them trying to get those who have not bought to buy.
Another method is the direct method. Here you do not use an autoresponder to capture emails. All you need is just a web page talking about the benefits of your e-book and trying to convince the visitor to buy. This page, also known as a sales page, will list the contents of the e-book or package that you are selling and most importantly instructions telling people how to place their order.
The simplest process of ordering is by stating your bank account and asking customers to pay into it after which they should send a text message to you with the depositor name, payment slip number, amount paid, email and phone. When a payment is made into your account, you will get an alert from your bank and all you need to do is to confirm the payment with the texts sent to you and forward the e-book to the buyer's email address. There are also automatic ways that payments can be processed via ATM card but that is a much more complex process.
Once you have your sales page up, your next task would be to start promoting and advertising the page so as to get as many people as possible to visit it, see what you have written and hopefully buy. With a great product and a well

designed sales page, you can make hundreds of thousands and even millions of naira from a single product within a very short time. It all depends on how convincing your sales page is and how well you are able to promote it.
One very important rule that you should always keep to is honesty. It is easy to make false claims and deceptive statements on your sales page and yes it might actually improve your sales but if your product does not contain or do what you claim that it does, then you have automatically become a fraudster and your name becomes tainted online. So my most important advice to intending info marketers is never ever deceive or make false claims about your product. A little exaggeration is sometimes understandable but try not to overdo it.

or Google. The bigger the list you are able to build and the faster you are able to build it, the bigger revenues you will get and the faster you will get a return on your initial investment.
Starting Out With Information Marketing

The minimum capital you will need to start information marketing is about N25,000 but to start off very well, I suggest a minimum of N47,000. Note that the more you are able to invest especially on advertising, the greater the profits you will make. In our case, we wrote our own e-book by ourselves and we started with an initial investment of about N60,000 spent mostly on advertising. Through continual reinvesting of our initial revenue, we were able to end up with about N2 million in profits after about a hundred days.
Here are the main things needed to start a successful info marketing business:
1. A Hot Product A useful and highly demanded information product (ebook) is the first key to success. The product you are selling is very critical to the success of this business because you do not expect people to be interested in what they do not need. Generally, your product must be able to solve a very pressing need of the people in the niche that you are targeting. Some popular niches that are always hot are wealth creation, health and fitness (dieting, weight loss etc) and Relationships (finding love, satisfying your partner etc)
Another very important thing to note is that your product must be of very good quality, must be worth the cost (even more than) and must do as you say it would, if not then nothing differentiates you from the many scammers out there. If you cannot create/write your own, you can buy the rights to sell

someone else's book. Such rights are called Private label rights or Resale Rights (or Master Resale Rights or MRR).
You can get resale rights of some good products from as low as N10,000 to N15,000 while the rights of some very powerful products may sell as high as N250,000. Students of my MOB course get two free MRR books that they can use to help get them started and for practice. If you are good at writing, you can even create your own products and sell the resale rights to others for much more than the actual e-book costs and get yourself even additional revenue.
2. A Credit or Debit Card This is what you will use to pay for advertising. Zenith Bank websurfer card is a good bet. To get the websurfer card is easy, you need a minimum of $120 (about N20,000). $20 is for the card processing fee and an initial deposit of $100 which you can spend. The card becomes active in 48 to 72 hours and anytime you want to load the card, you need to buy the dollars from a BDC or black market and pay to Zenith Bank.
You can start with the minimum of $120 (in this case you will use a free website and the direct method). But if you can afford it, you could start with $200 (about N32,000). From this amount, $20 will be for the card and the rest $180 for advertising and any other payments.
3. An Autoresponder An autoresponder is not mandatory in information marketing but it can be helpful. Instead of sending people directly to your sales page as done in the direct method, what you do is to use the autoresponder to collect email

addresses and build a database list of prospects i.e potential buyers. It is also used to automatically send periodic email messages regarding your product to your list.

I just created the various lectures of the course and stored them in the autoresponder configuring it in such a way that anybody who registers for the course is automatically sent a personalised email containing one new lecture every day.
An autoresponder is a wonderful thing that can save you the stress of sending regular messages to your prospects. It is also the most powerful tool used in information marketing. There are some companies like TrafficWave, Getresponse, Aweber, Mailchimp etc where you can pay monthly to use their online autoresponder or you can build and host your own by yourself especially if your email list is very large.
As mentioned earlier, an autoresponder is not mandatory in information marketing but it has the added benefit of giving you the contact details of people who have shown some interest in what you have to offer. These types of people are easier to convince and a series of well crafted email messages can help convince more people about your product than just a brief encounter with your sales page as obtains in the direct method.
4. A Webpage Also known as a sales page, this is where you will put all the details about the product that you are selling. It will contain all the details and benefits of the product that you are selling and it is meant to convince the visitors to buy the

Now all these things listed above are not too difficult to setup as long as you have the correct guidelines. How To Generate N300,000 in 2 Months

In the last lecture we learnt about the 4 main things required to start an information marketing business. Today we shall look at how you can turn an initial investment of between N20,000 to N47,000 into N300,000 within a space of two months using info marketing.
Once you've got all the 4 things in place (a hot product, a debit card, an autoresponder and a webpage), everything else is very easy from there.
To get your Websurfer card, lets say you buy $200 dollars from the black market at the rate of N160 per dollar (the dollar exchange rates are very volatile so I shall use N160 in this example). That would be $200 x N160 = N32,000. When applying for the card, $20 out of this money will be used to pay for the card and the rest $180 loaded inside so you have $180 free to spend. Details of getting a websurfer card can be found at the Zenith Bank website or you can find out from any of their branches.
NOTE: If you do not have up to N32,000 for $200, you can also buy $120 worth of dollars for about N20,000. After the bank deducts their $20, you are left with $100 to start with. With just this N20,000 you can still do everything explained in the example below.
If you are not using my course, you will need to buy the resale rights to any good e-book product for anything between N10,000 to N15,000. If you buy the rights for N15,000, it means that so far you will have spent 32,000 + 15,000 =

N47,000. If you register for my Masters in Online Business course, we will give you a good resale rights book for free to start with so you will not have to spend the extra N15,000 buying the rights.
From inside the $180 in your card, you can buy cheap web hosting at about $40 a year leaving you with $140 in your card. (If you are tight on cash, you can also use free web hosting which will cost you nothing and save you the extra $40). This $140 will be used to pay for facebook or Google advertising for 14 days at the rate of $10 a day.
With this amount of advertising, you will be able to get at least 200 visitors a day to your website but only about half of that number will actually submit their email for the free course that you are offering so in 14 days, you might get about 1,500 people subscribed to your list.
Now, in this list, not everybody will buy your product. The number of people who will buy the first time around depends on how good the product is, the price you are selling it and the quality of the free information that you deliver. In fact for a very good product that costs less than N4,000, you should only expect about 1% to 3% buying rate the first time around. So, assuming our product is very good and it sells for N3,000, it is safe to expect that at least 20 people out of the 1500 to buy within the first three weeks.
That gives you N60,000 in revenue.
Here is where the real beauty of the system comes in: reinvesting the initial returns. Assuming you chose to buy another $300 worth of dollars from the N60,000 you have made so far, it will cost N48,000. You can keep the remaining N12,000 aside as part of the returns on your initial investment

(don't eat it o). So now we have $300 to buy advertising. This time around, you can buy at $10 a day for 30 days or, for even faster results, $20 a day for 15 days.
Going by the previous calculations, we should expect to get double the number of prospects since you are spending double on advertising so at the end of 15 days, you may get about 3000 new prospects on your list. Out of this number, 40 people may buy within another three weeks. That gives you about N120,000 in revenue.
Now in addition to these new buyers, some people from the first set who have not bought before may also end up buying. So if 10 additional people buy from that set, you can get an extra N30,000 so the total money you would have made after 6 weeks will now stand at N150,000 + the 12,000 which you kept aside giving N162,000.
Buying another $300 worth of advertising and repeating this process again for another 3 weeks will eventually yield us a similar amount. Adding this to what you had before gives about N300,000 in total revenues. At this point, you can remove your initial startup capital and keep repeating the process over and over again, growing your list in the process. Ultimately, the growth begins to increase geometrically and within a few months, you will have made more than a million naira from this one product using this one simple semi-automated system.
Now imagine that you have about three very good and hot products and lists of subscribers that you are building and marketing to at the same time using this system. In theory, this means that you can be making thrice the amount

in the example above. Now imagine that you have five of these products. What about 10 products?
OK, before you get too carried away, I must warn you that the above example is only theoretical and real life results may either be much higher than that or much lower but it gives a pretty good idea of how the system works and what to expect. In our own case, we were able to turn N60,000 into N2 Million naira within just about 3 months using a similar system and selling an ebook we wrote by ourselves. Now we have written several ebooks and we hope to keep writing new ones and building our library of information products into a massive empire.
WARNING: Although the example above looks rather simple, don't be fooled because as easy at it seems to make money with info marketing, it is even much easier to fail. In reality, there are other factors that will influence how much you make and how well you succeed. The most important of these are the kind of product you are selling, the niche that you are targeting, the price of your product with respect to the value it brings and how much you are willing to spend on advertising.

Indeed the problem is not the availability of sources, the real problem is that there are way too many sources, most of which are either completely wrong or do not present the complete picture of how to do the business.
