The United States Peace Corps is seeking a Medical Administrative Assistant. Under the general supervision of the Country Director and in coordination with the Peace Corps Medical Contractors, the Medical Administrative Assistant will assist with the administrative support of the medical team in managing the health care needs of 230+ Volunteers.

Job Responsibilities:

Provides administrative support to the medical office staff and collaborates with the Medical Services Assistant. Monitors in-coming and out-going medically related mail and packages.

Assists in the maintenance of the medical inventory of health unit medications and supplies.
Maintains and updates contact information of all local and regional medical consultant and facilities; negotiates payments and retrieves laboratory and consultant reports. Assists with the accurate maintenance of Volunteers' Health records and files all reports as needed. Assists in translating medical reports and communications into English. Sends emails related to Volunteers' health concerns, medication refills, and administrative inquiries. Manages administrative aspects of Volunteer medical evacuation and coordinates logistics of medically-related travel for Volunteers and medical staff. Updates Emergency Duty Manual for medical staff on a quarterly basis. Prepares and processes payment vouchers for local health consultants and laboratories, and maintains accurate files. Keeps and maintains files of medical expenditures and estimates the medical budget as far as orders and expenditures are concerned on a quarterly basis. Prepares and processes medical sub-vouchers for Volunteers reimbursement of medical travel, per diem, and local purchases of approved medical supplies. Arranges and coordinates all requested medical appointments of Volunteers with local consultants and facilities. Accompanies Volunteer for support or translation as needed. Assists in the administration and delivery of training as required and supervised by the PCMCs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED AND PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:

University degree or equivalent experience in Office Management Three to five years of related work experience required. Strong Language ability: Written and Spoken English, French and Arabic required. Excellent organizational, administrative, managerial and interpersonal skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required. Medical background or training desired Ability to drive desired Moroccan Citizenship or legal residence in Morocco.
