Smart Board

One person toss the ball to choose a problem. Tap the board where the ball touched. The thrower is also the scribe. Anyone can talk, but only one person can write. When you are done, check your answer (move the box). Correct any mistakes, erase your work, then head back to the start screen. (tap the ball on the bottom left) Choose a new thrower and repeat. Aim for a new question each time, if you get a question twice, answer it again, should be easier the 2nd time!

When the timer goes off: Make sure you erased everything and leave it at the start screen.

Sequence
Pick any problem to start with and solve the problem on the white board or on paper. You may work as a group or individually. The answer to your first problem is the label of the next problem. (So you know you got it right if your answer is on the back of a card!)

Continue following the sequence until you get back to the problem you started with. Check to make sure you didnt miss any! When the timer goes off: Erase the board. Shuffle the cards.

Write a story about someone who needs to use similar triangles to solve a problem. Feel free to be as silly or realistic as youd like. Include real numbers and put the answer on the back. Come up with at least two stories (so you may work in pairs). Solve one of the problems another group left. When the timer goes off: Leave your story at the station; make sure the answer and your name(s) are on the back.

Match the Rule

Individually: list the rules that you can use to prove triangles are similar. Pick a card and on a separate piece of paper write the card number, the rule (or not similar) and the reason. Feel free to discuss problems you are stuck on with group members, but try to do as many as possible on your own. When the timer goes off: Shuffle the cards and leave them in a neat pile. Take your paper with you.
