Thank you for choosing PDF Creator Plus. The following pages will guide you through your first steps in using PDF Creator Plus on your computer.

The PDF Creator Plus application opens a new project, displaying the pages of your document.

To add pages from other types of documents, simply open the desired program and repeat step 1. Leave PDF Creator Plus open in the background while you do this.

The PDF Creator Plus application appears again, this time prompting where in the project to add the new pages.

From the Incoming Document dialog, choose where to add the pages. By default, the pages are appended to the end of the project.

How to Include Microsoft Word Outline Information If you want to maintain the outline and hyperlink information in a Microsoft Word document, you need to use the Save As PDF add-in from the toolbar (or menu) instead of printing the document directly to the printer. For Word 2007, the toolbars are now replaced with a tabbed ribbon. add-in is located on the Add-Ins tab of the ribbon. The Save As PDF

On versions of Word prior to Office 2007, the Save As PDF add-in creates a new custom toolbar as well as adding a new menu item, Save As PDF under the File menu.

The Save As PDF Add-In launches the PDF Bookmark Creation Settings dialog which allows you to customize the outline of your PDF file. The outline information in PDF Creator Plus is used to create the Bookmarks tab in Adobe.

From this dialog, choose what outline level, from 1 to 9, to assign each available style in the document. Changes made here are only used during the Save As PDF Add-In process. They do not affect the current styles and formatting in the document.

When you are satisfied with the settings, click the OK button to start the Save As PDF process. A progress dialog displays feedback on what step of the process is currently being done. You will see different parts of the document being selected as the Save As PDF AddIn moves through the document and processes each page.

When finished, the PDF Creator Plus application will launch and display the document as a new project. Any document styles that were assigned an outline level will be displayed in the Outline tab of the Navigation view.

Quick Start Guide Step 2 (Optional) Annotate pages with outline information, hyperlinks, notes or special instructions
Use the powerful annotation tools to add notes, emphasize important areas, and mask out sensitive information on any page. Create headings, bookmarks and hyperlinks to be included when you create PDF using the Outline and the Hyperlink tool. These tools can also be used to modify any existing outline information included in the project when using the PEERNET Microsoft Word Save As PDF Add-In. Click the ellipse button on the Annotation toolbar to select the ellipse tool. Move the mouse pointer to the Design window. Click and hold the left mouse button while you drag an ellipse around some important text. To change the thickness of the ellipse, click the annotation object with the right mouse button and select Properties. On the Line tab, set the desired line thickness.

Move any page simply by dragging it to a new location in the thumbnail view. You can move multiple pages at once by clicking Page Move Range. Rotate any page from the view toolbar. Simply click pages in the project by clicking Page Rotate All.

Add a cover page by clicking Page Insert Blank. Use the annotation tools to create the title. Delete any unwanted pages by highlighting them in the thumbnail view and pressing Delete. To delete multiple pages, click Page Delete Range. When you are done, save the project for working on later. If you require a hard copy, you can print the project to any installed printer.

Step 4 Create PDF or other file format


To convert the project to PDF, TIFF, or JPEG, click the appropriate button on the toolbar.

Choose where you want to save the file and click Save. By default, files are saved in My Documents.

By default, PDF Creator Plus generates a searchable multi-page PDF document that includes any Outline information as PDF bookmarks, as well as maintaining any hyperlinks in the project.

The first time that PDF Creator Plus is launched the following licensing window will appear.

To proceed with an Evaluation press Try. PDF Creator Plus evaluation version will automatically be activated to operate for 30 days on all supported platforms. All features are fully functional, however all outputs are stamped with the phrase Evaluation Copy. This window will continue to pop up once per day during the evaluation period showing the number of days remaining. To remove the Evaluation Copy watermark or when you have completed your evaluation you can proceed to purchase PDF Creator Plus by pressing the License Now button.
