it's popularity is very evident among the television shows and movies in the philippines. the show pedro penduko is a very good evidence to show that superstitious beliefs are still existing and popular among filipinos. other television shows which portray the superstitious beliefs of filipinos are Mutya, Agua Bendita, Enkantadia, Pepeng Agimat, and Buhawi Jack. moreover, there are always movies being shown in philippine cinemas every year whose stories are about aswang, tikbalang, engkanto, diwata, feng shui, and many other superstitious beliefs. some of these movies are Petrang Kabayo, Enteng Kabisote, Shake Rattle and Roll, and Sukob. Feng shui originated from the chinese culture. however, since there are a lot of chinese people who migrated in the philippines, it slowly became part of the way of life among many filipinos. wealthy filipinos even hire feng shui experts to design the interior of their houses. this practice could be observed in lifestyle television shows like Rated K wherein they feature the houses of actors and actresses who say that their houses are arranged in that manner because the feng shui expert told them it would bring them good luck, good health, long lives, and many other good things.

part 3 Superstitious beliefs are undeniably still part of the filipino culture. thus, it consequently affects the lives of the filipino people in some ways. it both has good and bad effects on the filipinos. for example, believing in the belief "do not run in the afternoon lest you bump against someone not like us, an agta, for instance." would help parents in making mishcievous children behave.
