Product Overview
The third generation in the Audience earSmart Series 100 line of Advanced Voice processors, the earSmart A1026 mixed-signal system-on-chip (SOC) solution delivers dynamic noise suppression and voice enhancement for mobile phones. Featuring earSmart Advanced Voice technology based on the science of human hearing, along with improved performance features and a highly integrated, more compact and energy-efficient design, the A1026 processor significantly improves mobile call quality in noisy environments. By enhancing voice clarity and suppressing background noise, intermittent sounds and echoes whether surrounding the caller or the person theyre speaking with the earSmart A1026 processor enables clear communications in nearly any environment. It also automatically adjusts voice volume and equalization during calls to adapt to local noise interference. For mobile customers, the technology dramatically improves voice clarity and enables users to communicate when and where they want to, without having to adapt phone usage to surrounding noise.

Mimics the Human Hearing System Audiences earSmart technology is based on reverse-engineering functions of the human hearing system, modeling the human auditory pathway from the inner ear to the brainstem, thalamus and cortex. Operating in much the same manner as people naturally perceive sounds, the A1026 voice processor in a mobile device can distinguish and evaluate sound signals to identify the primary conversation, and efficiently and effectively suppress surrounding background noise, to enable clear calls, even in noisy environments.

The Science Behind earSmart Audience is a pioneer in the development of commercial products based on the science of Computational Auditory Scene Analysis (CASA) to manage the characterization, grouping and processing of complex mixtures of sound. Using the principles of CASA, the A1026 voice processor makes mobile devices acutely aware of their surroundings, instinctively enhancing the voice communication and filtering out noise, for a clear voice experience. With this processing power, earSmart processors can deliver clear voice communications across all types of noise including stationary, non-stationary, intermittent sounds, and echoes whether surrounding the user or coming from the other end of the call.
