Introduction
The contents enclosed in this catalogue define a policy of sound commercial practice, but also accept that legislation covering the performance of products is increasing. With the introduction of BS EN ISO 9000 there is a greater tendency for large purchasers to buy from suppliers who have registered quality systems. Therefore the increasing concern for quality must reflect in our companys products themselves. The relevant back up documentation is an important application of the quality requirement and it is our companys policy to provide this with all its products. A strict adherence to all aspects of our companys policies and procedures involves the total workforce which has been educated to meet these demands. Standards and Services Directed by our BS EN ISO 9000 registration, Batch Testing and Practicability Procedures are incorporated into the Standard Davico practices, and the majority of the products contained in this catalogue are tested to meet most International Standard requirements internally or externally. What is Quality? Quality as expected by Davico employees is defined in the following eight points: Knowing the customers needs and expectations Faultless construction Certified performance and safety Clear instruction manuals Punctual delivery Efficient back-up services Feedback of field experience Value for money The Quality Manual The Davico Quality Manual is an effective way of promoting recognition of quality throughout the company. It demonstrates the companys ability to operate an efficient quality assurance system which will result in preventing the supply of inferior goods and services. Certificates of Conformity are essential when complying with BS EN ISO 9000 requirements. Submission of these is again a major function of the Davico organisation and creates customer confidence in the products.
Introduction
Technical Support With the introduction of new and continuing changes to National Standards and Specifications on performance and characteristics of product, new methods and improved procedures are being evolved to achieve this end. This takes into consideration all safety parameters of the product application. Should you require any additional information regarding product specification or application please contact our office: expert technical advice is always available, either via telephone or an onsite visit from our sales engineers. The Case for Maintenance The most important means of measuring quality is at the hands of the customer. Many products are sold to distributors, agencies and manufacturing organisations and it is with this in mind that our company will contract to repair and service all equipment supplied. The company management has developed an efficient system of two way information. To ensure customer satisfaction under this system and together with the maintenance procedures it is essential that tool calibration is conducted in accordance with the directives of BS EN ISO 9000 and other International Standards. On this basis the necessary documented evidence is provided to ensure a meaningful relationship between our company and our customers. Service and Field Information As part of the maintenance system Davico implements the following five procedures: Monitored policy on servicing Methods of feedback of field information to all relevant company departments Methods of supplying up-to-date information to company field staff and customers Procedure for handling customer complaints and return of goods Procedures for handling incoming supplies Tool Check and Calibration It is very important that tooling compression is monitored regularly. Checks are conducted together with go and no-go gauge tolerancing. These should be implemented at a minimum of one check per year, and possibly more dependant on the number of tools in service. Correct calibration is an important function of meeting National Standards for service and maintenance. Maintenance The maintenance procedures are implemented as detailed in the Davico Quality Manual. All hand and hydraulic tools can be serviced or repaired in accordance with the requirement. Service checks include for replacement of oil seals, reservoirs, stops etc. Service reports are available and on completion Certificates of Conformity of Service are issued.

A bench mounted air operated crimping tool suitable for crimping many types of terminal up to 6.0 sq mm. Will accept all jaw sets as detailed below. Reduces operator fatigue on volume output. The foot pedal control automatically adjusts jaw closing time longer or shorter so that each crimp is consistent regardless of operator. Jaws are sold separately (see below).

Eurolok Cable Ties are produced on multi impression tools which mould complete one piece ties with no metal parts. They are manufactured from tough durable Nylon 6/6 which has been tested to underwriters laboratory UL94V2. The material is zero halogenated and also has a low smoke and fume capability when compared with materials such as PVC, PP, PE, ABS, POM, ECT. The classified oxygen index at max 28% dry is considered excellent in halogen free and L.S.F. situations, with the test method conducted in accordance with data sheet DAV1826 and the test status as indicated below in table A. The health and safety directives are substantiated on data sheet DAV1825 both of which are available upon application. In the case of Underwriters Laboratory specification requirements, the full implications of UL1565 have been applied as indicated against file No.E155866 and E157276. (Copies are available on application). These specifications include for the performance testing requirements with regard to Flammability, Tensile Strength, Vibration, Corrosion, etc., and in most cases exceed the recommendations. The ties can be tensioned by hand or by the use of applied tensioning tools. When using tensioning tools it is advisable to pre set the tooling to the proposed setting as detailed in Table 'B' Page 55. The colour shade of the standard ties is naturai nylon or black, but other colours are available to special order. Black cable ties are recommended for general outdoor use and have a highly durable resistance to Ultra Violet Light. Due to the variation in requirement for this type of application the cable ties can be manufactured from a higher performance Nylon 6/6 with intensive weather resistant qualities. All general specification details are incorporated as indicated in Table 'A' and for any additional information please contact our offices. Eurolok accessories are designed to incorporate the majority of features applicable to the positioning of cable ties. Self adhesive bases, cradles, eyelets, and clamps, are supplied and manufactured from A.B.S. or Nylon 6/6 material. In case of self adhesive components the adhesive pads themselves have a base synthetic rubber foundation which when applied gives a high permanent bond to most surfaces. On all applications a dual option of bolt fixings is designed into the base as a preference if required.
Cradles
They maintain the ties firmly in position increasing their resistance. They are supplied with holes for fixing screws.

MASONRY MOUNT
The MM9 masonry mount is used to secure cabie ties to a wall. Manufactured from Nylon, the maximum width of cable tie that can be used with the masonry mount is 9mm. Fix by drilling a 7mm diameter hole for use in soft materials wood, chipboard, plasterboard etc) and an 8mm diameter hole in hard materials (brick etc).

Technical Information
A range of high tensile cable ties with exceptional resistance to both weathering and ageing. The ties have a high resistance to corrosion and chemical attack, with special durability against salt water and spray. The A.I.S.I. 316 stainless material can achieve very high working temperatures and these are as indicated in Table 1. In order to achieve even higher degrees of protection some of the ties can be coated with a matt heat resisting polysetser powder. From Table 1 you will notice that the coating does restrict the working temperature, but enhances durability, for specification and test of the coating see Table 2. The ties are supplied in three designs: 1. Roller Ball Type 2. Ladder Type 3. Releasable Stainless Steel cable ties can be used in many varied applications of extreme mechanical, chemical, radiation and temperature environments such as aircraft, power plants, mines, tunnels, oil and gas platforms.

DSTG2 STAINLESS STEEL CABLE TIE GUN

Suitability For use on natural or coated stainless steel roller ball or ladder type cable ties. Application Method For Product DSTG2 A. Place the tie around the object to be secured. B. Insert the tail through the slot and into the ratchet jaw and tension by repeatedly pressing the tool handles together. C. After tensioning, move the tool with an up and down action and twist the tool in a clockwise direction. This will shear off the tail adjacent to the cable tie head.

CABLE MARKING SYSTEMS
The Mark-On cable marking system is a real time and money saver. It consists of a handy dispenser with tear off mechanism filled with 10 rolls of self adhesive vinyl cloth tape. (one roll each 09). Rolls are 5mm wide and 2.4 metres long with approximately 500 markings. Temperature Range: 29C to +93C. Tape Colour: White Yellow available on request. Refills supplied in bags of 10 rolls. Strong Transparent Shells are larger than normal to allow plenty of room for jointing. Easy Mix Twin Pack Quality Polyurethane Resin has a minimum two year shelf life. Have sufficient quantity of resin in the kits so extra bags to top up are not required. Kits are complete with earth continuity, safety gloves, step by step instructions. Mechanical connectors can be supplied for any combination of cable in kits so that the kit is complete and ready for customer to utilise. Heatshrink Tubing and Accessories Mini Reel Packs

Commercial Grade Polyolefin can be supplied on mini reels. It can be used to provide insulation for electrical connections, components and wiring. This tubing has a minimum shrink temperature of 120C. Higher temperatures may be used without damaging the tubing, if rapid shrinking is required.
