The Role - Purpose/Summary A fantastic opportunity for a Marketing Assistant working with a national charity and a state of the art cooking school in West Yorkshire. The role will include traditional and online channels for a range of projects and courses. Initially a 6-month position, this may be extended into a permanent position. The priority is to support the Marketing and Communications manager in delivering a cohesive strategy for the 3 main areas of the organisation. The Marketing Assistant will appropriately and positively champion, represent and support marketing throughout the organisation. Responsibilities Marketing materials and creative Design, create and produce marketing materials (including flyers, mailshots, email marketing, display screens and adverts) some in-house and some agency interfacing. Coordinate copywriting for marketing and press material consistent with our brand identity, value and proposition.

Responsible for generating blogs/ case studies / testimonials for use in marketing campaigns

Maintain display screens and support material for courses for The Cooking School

Reporting, data and CRM Coordinate and manage a cleaning process for customer databases Use customer databases to deliver marketing campaigns, track responses, and feedback and analyse response rates in line with the Marketing and Communications Managers guidance. Reporting on a weekly and monthly basis to the Marketing and Communications Manager to include accurate tracking and measurement of customer Feedback Be a champion of the customer database, ensuring it is used correctly across all marketing activity. Online marketing activity Update website content across the organizations main websites using CMS. Assist with the development and growth of the business's online engagement strategy, including social media. Execute social media channels for all areas of the business - including Twitter, Facebook, Blogs and Video channels PR Write and issue press releases as directed by the Marketing and Communications Manager to generate profile and interest across the organization Log and assess PR coverage using analysis systems and provide a monthly report

Research Analyse competitor activity to gain market awareness and research for potential tender and project opportunities. Events Assist in the delivery of presence at off- and on-site events to include creating and planning marketing communication around the event as well as reporting on event success. Internal Communications Produce, deliver and coordinate the organisations weekly internal newsletter

Reporting Relationship The Marketing Assistant will be responsible to the Marketing and Communications Manager.

Person Specification Candidates will have a track record, which ideally demonstrates:

Strong marketing skill set across all channels (with particular emphasis on online channels)

1-2 years minimum marketing experience (essential) Experience of using a Mac (desirable) Organised and focused approach to work A creative drive Strong communication skills
