9th Khazar International Chess Cup February 15-22, 2011 Rasht - Iran

Invitation Chess Association of Gilan province on behalf of I.R.Iran chess federation has honored to invite all players from national federations to participate in the 9thKhazar international chess cup will be held in Rasht, north of Iran, February 15-22, 2011. Participation Participation in the 9thKhazar international chess cup is open to all. Each national federation has right to nominate and send one player (2300 & more rating) as official invited player. Tournament will carry on in 6 open groups: A: Players, who are FIDE Title Holder, will play in group A B: Players, who have above 2000 rating, will play in group B C: Players, who have less than 2000 rating and unrated players, will play in group C D: Players, under 10 years old for boys and girls. E: Players, under 14 years old for boys and girls. F: Women Tournament. Registration The last date of registration is: Feb.1th 2011. Registration is free for GMs and players with FIDE ratings of 2400 and more for other players the registration fee is: 50 $ The complete registration form must include the surname, fide ID number, fide rating, title and a digital copy of passport of each player and each accompanying person ( you can find Registration form at last page) . All travel expenses should be borne by players. Hotel information Hotel with 3 meals per day is free for GMs and IMs. For other players, hotel with breakfast (BB) is available for 20U$D per person per night. All foreigner Players should stay in the official hotels introduce by the organizer!

Please note that a 15% Tax (as per Iranian income tax regulations) will be deducted from the prize money to be awarded to all players. Cash prizes shall be shared equally among tied players. Format The open tournament will be plays according to the Swiss System of 9 or 11 rounds. Rate of play will be 90 minutes for the whole game + 30 seconds increment for every move played.
