Unlike the uniform dcor found in most hotel rooms this offers something rather different. Found on Amsterdams colourful Red Carpet the hotels sixty plus rooms are all designed, decorated and furnished in a different style. Each room is juxtaposed with the next; here art, fashion and architecture have become almost inseparable. artist Frida Kahlo. Consequently, the hotel became the canvas for eight young designers, all alumni of the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. The Exchange is a concept from Otto Nan and Suzanne Oxenaar, the duo behind Amsterdams Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy. The hotel was unveiled by the Amsterdam Fashion Institutes former director Liesbeth int Hout on December 1st. Walking out of the hotel towards the gathered crowds her red dress drew with it the curtain which had previously shrouded the building.
