Please describe briefly your organization and your projects What are the objectives, main activities and target group of your organization?

Sfera with its work through education contributes in increasing the awareness of all age groups about the importance of fire protection and benefits arising from it. Aims:

Creation of a youth volunteer fire brigade Bitola Creating a Training Centre for young firefighters in Bitola Sferas networking with other international organizations Increasing awareness of the importance of youth volunteering Improving the leadership skills of volunteers through seminars, training

Target Group: Youth aged 15 to 30 years.

Please say how long you have been involved in projects in your organization? I am young leader and i am 1 year member in SFERA In your organization, do you work with young people with fewer opportunities? Please describe in more details experience you have.

MOTIVATION & EXPECTATIONS

What would you like to learn, understand and experience during this training course?
I would like to have a chance to express my personal commitment through voluntary activities in a foreign country.

What contributions can you bring for this training course? Im studying at the Faculty for Pedagogic studies, subject: Macedonian-German, which means Ill be a teacher of languages. My future profession (teacher) corresponds to my interests and knowledge in theory of learning and intercultural competence. I have an interest for other cultures, languages, arts, intercultural learning, art of learning and politics. My curiosity for other culture and contact leads to my interest in contacting to other people and taking part in social, cultural and voluntary activities. Culture differences are often very difficult to tolerate them. Many people privilege the Own, devaluate the Other, set limits to the distinctions and discriminate. But today we live in an epoch of the internationalization to our intellectual, economic, political, scientific and personal contacts. So Im ready to accept other cultures and to show tolerance for the young generation. I would like to discover other cultures and to develop own ideas in the field of intercultural learning.

How do you plan to use the outcome of this activity in your work?
At the same time, through my work, I would like to acquire rich experience and new knowledge which I can apply further in my personal and professional development.
