Took over the duties of System Admin on the AS400. Monitor and report any hardware issues to supervisor. Contact IBM on issue and schedule down time if need be to fix problem. Monitor system activity and fix any issues that may arise, like run away queries, job queue problems and print queue problems. Monitor and support Robot batch processing day and night and fix any issues that may arise. Update alert messaging through Robot Alert system. Maintain backups through Robot save, initialize scratch tapes when needed. Maintain IBM System Storage TS3200 Tape Library. Send backup tapes to offsite location on a daily, weekly and monthly bases.
