Declaration of final result for Non Interview posts

(Option P to W) under Combined Graduate Level
Examination, 2011
Results of Interview posts (Post Options A to O) and Post of
Statistical Investigator consisting of 3296 (List I) and 655 (List-III)
candidates had already been placed on the website of the
Commission (http://ssc.nic.in)
2.
The following procedure has been adopted in allocation of
candidates for non-interview posts (Post codes P to W):
i)

Candidates not allotted to Interview posts including

Statistical Investigator were placed in merit order.

(ii)

Candidates without any option for posts and/or states

were not considered for allocation, as they had failed to
exercise options despite at least two opportunities.

(iii)

Candidates in merit order were considered for first

opted post and within the post for opted states.
Candidates failing to get allocated so were considered
for the second opted post and within the post for opted
state and so on.

(iv)

Candidates upto 10% mistakes in UR category in DEST

and upto 15% mistakes
in case of all reserve
categories were considered for post of Tax Assistants
and considered for CBEC/CBDT as per their option
and within the option for states opted by them and so
on .

(v)

Lower ranking candidates belonging to EXS, OH, HH

and VH categories have been considered against
vacancies earmarked for their respective vertical
categories(UR,SC,ST or OBC) in their turn subject to
their are not having availed any concession at any
stage of the examination and subject to availability of
vacancies in respective categories.

3.
Category-wise break-up of the candidates for different posts
selected against the vacancies reported by the User departments
and highest and lowest marks secured by candidates selected
against each post/ state is as below ( For the posts where state

Note: While there was exemption from DEST for PH candidates in CBDT no
such exemption was available in CBEC.
In all the above Tables, candidates selected against Horizontal vacancies have
been shown in their vertical categories as well. In certain cases all vacancies
shown filled against a vertical category have been filled by horizontal category
candidates and hence the highest and lowest marks shown against such rows are
zero as the same are available against the respective vertical category.
4.
Tie cases have been resolved by applying following criteria, one after
another, as applicable till the Tie is resolved :If there are candidates for a particular post/group of posts have the same
aggregate marks in both Tier I and Tier II Examinations, including the marks for
Interview wherever applicable, then the tie will be resolved by the Commission
by referring to the total marks of Tier II examination i.e. a candidate having more
marks in Tier-II will be given preference. If the tie still persists then the total
marks in Tier I examination will be referred to i.e. a candidate having more marks
in this Examination will be given preference. This procedure will be followed by
Date of Birth, i.e., the candidate older in age will get preference. Lastly, if the tie
still persists, the tie will be finally resolved by referring to the alphabetical order
of names, i.e., a candidate whose name begins with the alphabet which comes
first in the alphabetical order will get preference.
5.
There are 53 candidates in List II whose candidature has been kept
provisional by concerned regional offices but are included in the Select List.
Concerned RDs/DDs will check the eligibility of such candidates thoroughly
before their nomination.
Result of 75 candidates has been kept withheld by the
Commission due to certain discrepancies including suspected malpractice. Their
marks etc. have also not been placed on the website. Decision will be taken in
their cases in due course.
6.
Results for Options P to W are now placed on the website
(http://ssc.nic.in) .The list contains the details of 8635 selected candidates,
marks and other details of all candidates will also be placed on the website
shortly.

7.
The Commission has endeavored to make post and state allotment
for the first time. This entailed preparation of a new software and utmost care
has been taken to ensure total accuracy in processing of the result on the basis of
data received from regional offices. Representations, if any, should be addressed

16. Representations for change in State shall be outright rejected .

Representations not accompanied by relevant document will not be
examined. Representations received after 15.4.2012 will not be
examined. Representations received upto 15.4.2012 will be taken up
for examination in a consolidated manner and a note will be placed on
the website after such examination within a month. No correspondence
will be made with individual candidates making such representations.
