Dniepropetrovsk is a big and busy city. It has old and new buildings, a lot of plants and factories, universities and places of interest . WHERE TO STAY There are cheap hotels in the bedroom suburbs . There are big expensive hotels and good apartments for rent in the centre.

WHAT TO DO Dniepropetrovsk has theatres, cinemas, and museums. The best stores are in Karl Marx (4) and in the (5) shopping centres: Grand Plaza, Most City Centre, and Vavilon. Go to the river bank. There are bridges, fountains, (6) . lawns and a new embankment in the centre. People like walking around Monastyrskiy (7) . There are walks, beaches, merry-go-rounds, a football ground, a small zoo, the Aquarium, a boating station and the National Olympic Sailing Centre.

HOW TO TRAVEL From Monastyrskiy Island you can get back to the city centre by the cable road . In the city there are trolleybuses, (8) and the underground. The best way (8-10): cheap mini-buses horrible to see the city centre is on foot and by tram. Electric transport is really (9) here. Roads are okay in the centre but they are (10) in the suburbs . You can get to Dniepropetrovsk by train or by bus. Also, there is an international airport and a port.
