Coaching Experience

Started coaching career at High Point University following playing career. W as in charge of developing scouting reports and working with infielders and hitters. Also handled High Point base runners. Gained youth coaching experience while coaching Panthers 12 and under AAU team. After coaching at High Point, served as an assistant coach for the Morehead City Marlins in the Coastal Plains League alongside Head Coach Jay Bergman, longtime University of Florida and University of Central Florida Head Coach. I was in charge of all aspects of the offense, as well as catchers, outfielders, and infielders. Also responsible for coaching third base. In its Inaugural season, the team won the division championship and was ranked by Perfect Game USA as the 12th best Collegiate summer team in the nation. Following Morehead City, I was a graduate assistant at UNC Pembroke, working with UNC Pembroke hitters and infielders as well as all aspects of recruiting. Have coached over 20 college All Conference players, over 5 college All Americans, and 11 players who went on to sign professional contracts with Major League Baseball. Currently assistant coach at Manteo High School.

INSTRUCTION HISTORY
Lessons will consist of one hour sessions of individual baseball instruction. Aspects of hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running will be taught. If pitching instruction is requested the player must provide a catcher. Lessons will be available through August 1st. Cost of one hour session is $40. Players are required to bring a glove, bat, and any other equipment desired. Balls and other training equipment will be provided. For more information on scheduling a time please call 252-216-8020.
High School Attended Manteo High School lettering in both baseball and football. Was an all-conference selection in baseball both junior and senior years and chosen conference player of the year in senior season. First team all state in 2005. Hit a homerun at NC State Universitys Doak Field in the 2005 North Carolina East/West game. Also an all conference performer in 2005 in football. Represented Manteo High School as a pitcher and infielder for the Cubs in the 2004 East Coast Professional Showcase, sharing the infield with Justin Upton of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The East Coast Professional Showcase's objective is for Major League Baseball scouts to form six teams with the most talented high school underclassmen from their prospected regions. The East Coast Showcase is unique in the fact that the event is run by and the players are selected by Professional Baseball Scouts. The basis of the Showcase is to assemble these elite players on one field, presenting a true professional environment. It is truly a great opportunity for all thirty Major League Baseball teams to enjoy an event that brings together the most talented amateur players east of the Mississippi River.

College Accepted a division I scholarship to attend High Point University. Four year starter at shortstop. Was a Millis Scholar Athlete and a member of the Big South Conference Presidential Honor Roll all four years. Was named to the Big South All-Conference team as a shortstop in 2007 and again in 2009. Named to the All -Academic team in senior season. Upon graduation finished 5th in High Point baseball history in games played (206), 3rd in career hits (235), 5th in career at-bats (750), 5th in career runs (145), 4th in career walks (72), and 2nd in career assists (556). As a senior, finished 2nd in the Big South Conference in batting average (.400), 5th in the Big South in runs (57), 6th in hits (82), and second in on-base-percentage (.488). Named Big South player of the week from April 13-19 after going 4 for 5 with three runs scored in a win over 4th ranked North Carolina, 3 for 5 with three RBIs versus Virginia Tech, and three hits, three RBIs, and three runs in three games against Coastal Carolina.
