PREFACE

It is a matter of great satisfaction and privilege to present the esteemed readers this report aimed at finding the potential of Home loan and Car loan products of ICICI Bank among couples. This project report is a concrete form of the knowledge that was acquired during the project. During this project, which is a part of full time two year Management course, a student gets the opportunity to apply his/her theoretical knowledge in the corporate world, in short it emphasizes on Learning By Doing. The training paves the way for the student for his/her successful entrance in the corporate world of Banking. In the Indian Banking Industry, the ICICI Bank is a Pvt. sector bank and it is an honor to mention that it has been a leverage to push up the growth of Indian Industry and Infrastructure. With the data that was collected from the sample and also the bank, I have tried my best to provide some fruitful suggestions that would be of great help for the organization. I anticipate that the suggestions provided would prove to be useful source of information for the BANK and would facilitate its growth.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Today is the time of competitive era and at this time of cu throat competition every bank need to survive. Banking sector is the backbone of any economy. For the better understanding of this sector this project helped a lot to the interns. ICICI Bank is India's second-largest bank. The Bank has a network of about 573 branches and extension counters and over 2,000 ATMs. ICICI Bank was originally promoted in 1994 by ICICI Limited, an Indian financial institution, and was its wholly-owned subsidiary. ICICI was formed in 1955 at the initiative of the World Bank, the Government of India and representatives of Indian industry. The objective of the project under ICICI Bank was to find the potential of Home loan and Car loan products provided by the bank among the target segment couples in future and to know the reasons why the customers are going towards other banks and compare it with the other Banks. For this purpose a market research was done in different areas of Jaipur city. For the research part the data collection was the first objective to know the experiences of the customers of loans, their preferred banks and their future requirements regarding loans. Another task is to make the customers aware of the bank and its products. The findings are important for the bank to make its strategy. The

research told that there will be an increase in home loan and car loan segment. There is also a good indication for the bank as people are still inclined to pvt. sector banks. Finding of this study helped to banks to know their customer insight, their needs to services so that they can improve their services quality and enhance their customer base. The limitation had arise in research duration due to the financial & time constraints the study was limited to our place. I recommended the bank to give emphasis on advertising and launch some innovative loan schemes to woo the customers. The bank also needs to improve its customer services and the infrastructure. At last I can say that through this project bank has benefited in a great way.
