The culmination of our life is tied directly to Christ. Our best day is His second coming. 5. Because our life is hid with Christ. . . . a. Mortify = put to death, execute . . i. Fornication, uncleanness (impurity), inordinate affection(desire for evil) ii. Coveteousness = greed -> idolatry 6. The items in vs 5 draw us away from setting our affection on things above. 7. The list in vs 5 ought to be expected from the unsaved, not the children of God. 8. Put off sins of the mind and mouththe forgivables today : a. Anger(impulse), wrath (passion), malice (anger fed, has evil intent), blasphemy (slander), filthy communication (abusive language gossip!) 9. Lie not one to another! Dont act like Satan to each other because you have put off the old man! a. Putting off the old man means putting off his deeds. In the greek it means wholly put off 10. Putting on the new man includes renewing our knowledge (Pro 19:2 Also, [that]
the soul [be] without knowledge, [it is] not good; and he that hasteth with [his] feet sinneth.) minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace)

11. In Christ, there are no social or racial boundaries. Both in exclusion from benefits or in responsibility to be holy. 12. Christians (holy and beloved in Gods eyes) ought to put on: a. Bowels of mercy (compassion), Kindness, humbleness (others first), meekness (gentleness), longsuffering (patience) 13. Self explanatoryLive it. Forgive! 14. Love is the bond that holds us together as believers. It holds us to Christ too. It is perfect because it does not fail. a. Put it over all thingsouter garment 15. Gods peace ought to rule! Govern. Take control. Gods peace acts as our umpire. 16. Word of Christ = Gospel. Dwell Richly = Live large, luxuriously live, not as a servant a. We urge each other to live righteously as brothers in Christs. We use Corporate worship to encourage each other! Sing out!
