Good morning, teachers and friends. The topic of my speech today is Save our Earth. Do you know the Earth is our only home in this universe? Earth is the only planet which is able to support and sustain life. However, we are slowly destroying our one and only home. We have polluted the environment and destroyed many of its flora and fauna. We have carelessly cut down trees, killed wildlife and destroyed the homes of many birds, fishes and animals. These flora and fauna are a source of food for man and animals. Furthermore they are a vital source of medicines. Our irresponsible activities such as open burning causes haze and the thinning of the ozone layer. Our excessive use of harmful chemicals and plastics pollutes the air we breathe. The improper disposal of rubbish and wastes has caused air, land and water pollutions. This in turn has caused climatic changes and the Earth is becoming hotter. Dear friends, we can play a part in saving our Earth. Use less plastics, dispose rubbish properly, and support recycling of waste. Let us join hands and make the Earth a better place for ourselves and for our future generations. Thank you
