NH 2012 Gubernatorial Candidates

Despite being very popular, John Lynch announced that he will not seek a fifth term as governor. This has created a wide-open

A third potential candidate is former Securities Commissioner, Mark Connolly. He is equally unknown in the state with 10%
saying they have a favorable opinion of Connolly, 3% have an unfavorable opinion, 3% are neutral and 83% dont know enough

Granite State Poll Methodology

These findings are based on the latest WMUR Granite State Poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey
Center. Five hundred thirty-eight (538) randomly selected New Hampshire adults were interviewed by landline and cellular
telephone between April 9 and April 20, 2012. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 4.2 percent. Included is a
subsample of 486 likely general election voters (margin of sampling error +/- 4.4%).
The data have been weighted to adjust for numbers of adults and telephone lines within households, respondent sex, and region
of the state. In addition to potential sampling error, all surveys have other potential sources of non-sampling error including
question order effects, question wording effects, and non-response.
