Dear Student:

The Technical College System of Georgia Board voted last week to increase the cap credit hour
charges for full time tuition from 12 credit hours to 15 credit hours effective Winter Quarter 2009.

This letter is to inform you that effective Winter Quarter 2009, the 12 credit hour tuition cap has
been increased at Chattahoochee Tech to 15 credit hours.

Tuition will be charged to the student account for all credit hours enrolled up to and
including 15 hours.
Any credit hours above 15 hours will not be charged any additional tuition.
Full time enrollment for Federal Student Aid (Federal Pell Grant, etc.) and Insurance
Verification will remain at 12 credit hours.

Students who have already registered for 13-15 credit hours for Winter Quarter 2009 will have
their account adjusted to reflect the additional tuition charge.

The increase of the tuition cap hour was not an easy decision. We understand the financial
impact on our students. To assist our students with this additional cost, we are extending the
Winter Quarter 2009 payment deadline to 5:00 p.m., January 8, 2009. Students may check
their financial aid and account balance via ChattConnect. Students receiving funding from the
Georgia HOPE Program will have any additional tuition charges paid.

You, as the student, will be responsible to ensure that full payment (student financial aid, third
party, or personal payment) has been made by the January 8, 2009 extended payment
deadline. Unfortunately, Chattahoochee Technical College cannot offer any payment plans nor
defer any tuition and fees that are not covered by financial aid or an authorized third party.
Students who have made payment on their account, but now have a balance due because of
the cap unit hour increase, must pay all additional tuition and fees by the 5:00 p.m., January 8,
2009 deadline.

Thank you for choosing Chattahoochee Technical College and allowing us the opportunity to
help you reach your educational goals. We strive to keep your tuition affordable while
continuing to offer you a quality education.

Sincerely,

Student Financial Services
