To show Netbackup capability to backup & recover applica'ons (Oracle, Ac've Directory, Exchange, or custom applica'ons) Bare Metal Recovery test To show Netbackup OpsCenter repor'ng func'ons To show Netbackup Deduplica'on and Encryp'on func'ons This POC is to test the backup and recovery func'on, and not for the performance test purposes

Overview

Overview
As an established market leader in enterprise backup and recovery, VERITAS NetBackup provides unparalleled data protec'on for enterprise backup and recovery environments. It minimizes cost and complexity by implemen'ng a unied data protec'on solu'on that provides desktop, remote oce and data center protec'on across the en're enterprise. NetBackup delivers centralized and simplied real-'me management to help organiza'ons manage all aspects of backup and recovery including disk- and tape-based data protec'on. It unlocks the power of disk to help make backup and recovery faster, more reliable, and more secure than ever. Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments can be met by using storage lifecycle policies to create storage 'ers and automa'cally move backup data through its lifecycle. Also achieve advanced and automated disaster recovery with integrated Bare Metal Restore, enabling full system recovery on any plaWorm within 15 minutes and granular recovery of cri'cal applica'ons. To help ensure data is secure before it is taken osite for long-term storage, NetBackup oers a wide variety of authoriza'on and access controls as well as encryp'on op'ons. With no hardware agenda, NetBackup is the enterprise data protec'on so4ware layer upon which to standardize. It oers the broadest range of op'ons to op'mize backup and recovery and support for all major opera'ng plaWorms, including HP-UX, HP Tru64, IBM AIX, Linux, Microso4 Windows, Novell NetWare, SGI IRIX, and Sun Solaris. For online and granular recovery of mission-cri'cal databases and applica'ons, NetBackup oers a comprehensive list of agents for IBM, Microso4, Oracle, SAP, and Sybase.
