a) Certification as Trained Yellow/Green/Black Belt
Yellow Belt - Should attend 1 day Yellow Belt training Green Belt Should attend all 4 days of Green Belt training and pass the examination at the end of 4th day.(See examination passing criteria) Black Belt Should attend all 8 days of Lean Black Belt training workshop which may be spread over a period of 1-4 months and actively participate during the training sessions. Should pass the examination conducted on the 8th day. (See examination passing criteria)

b) Examination Passing Criteria There are continuous assessment exercises conducted during every module. Participants should participate actively in these activities and exercises. Final exam is held on the 4th day for Green belt and 8th day for Black Belt. Participants registered for Black belt are not expected to appear for Green Belt examination. Each participant has to secure a minimum of 70% to pass the exam. Participants who have attended all the days of training and passed the exam will be awarded Yellow/Green/Black Belt certification. The certificate will not mention that the participant has completed a project.
c) Project Completion Certificate for Green Belt / Black Belt

Should complete Lean Six Sigma Project ideally within the 6 months (which can be extended upto 2 years under special circumstances) of completion of the workshop and show tangible savings as an outcome of the project. Green Belt - One Lean Six Sigma Project to be completed in a process within a function/department in an organization.
Black Belt - One six sigma project to be completed spanning across 2 or more functions with cross-functional teams. This project can be an extension of the first project with a wider scope.

Should submit the project for evaluation to Anexas Denmark in the prescribed template

Should present the projects in one of the workshops or on any other scheduled day, which will be evaluated on the following criteria : a) b) c) d) e) f) g) Nature of the Project Application of the Lean and/or Six Sigma tools Conclusions made using the tools Type of process improvement actions implemented Financial benefits and savings realized Intangible benefits Learning and sharing from the project

Each participant who has successfully met the criteria for training, projects and exams will be certified as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and the certificate will mention the name of the project completed by the participant. d) Key Organizational requirements for successful Lean Six Sigma Implementation (Applicable to in-house programs) Top Management commitment is key for the successful completion of all Lean Six Sigma projects. Top Management should conduct reviews on the progress of the project with the Black Belt (person who is attending the training modules) every week The Black Belt should select his team based on the process knowledge domain required and should conduct review with his team every 3-4 days The selected participants should be released from their daily work routine for adequate time during the 4-6 month period for successful implementation of the methodology. d) Key skill sets required for the Black Belt:Black Belt aspirant should be preferably working in an organization or should have worked in an organization in the past.
