Common Myths about Student Conduct
1) Student Conduct stalks your Facebook and Twitter accounts
It is true that we can use information given to us, but no, we are not sitting around stalking your personal accounts looking for pictures/information that are under violation. With that said, be conscious of what you put on your profile because you never know who may see it!

In terms of size, students at smaller colleges tend to drink more than students at larger schools...drink Responsibly!

2) If you live in the Senior apartments, anyone can drink (any type ) of alcohol with you
Beer and wine can be consumed only when all present are 21 years of age or older, but keep in mind that liquor is prohibited from the senior apartments. Residents who violate this policy in the apartments will be immediately reassigned from the respective building.

3) If youre off campus, your actions wont affect you on campus

Dont be fooled, if you are caught doing something that would be in violation on campus, you will face the same consequences if you are caught off campus...BE SMART!

4) Community service must be done on campus

Community service may be done off campus. You will just need to include your supervisors contact information and have them sign off on the hours you complete so you have evidence to prove the community service was completed.

So You Want an Appeal, Do You?

An appeal is initiated by the accused (and in cases of sexual harassment/ violence findings only, the complainant) submitting a written request (a form is available from Residence Directors or the Office of Student Conduct) to the Director of Student Conduct within three business days of the original decision. Otherwise, the original decision is final. In cases where the Director of Student Conduct has been involved in the original decision, the Vice President for Student Affairs or his/her designate(s) will serve as the Appellate Officer(s) or an Appellate Board can be convened. The Appellate Officer(s) will, whenever possible, provide written notification of his/her decision to the student. The Appellate Officer(s) or Board may make a recommendation to affirm the original decision, change any sanctions, schedule a new conduct meeting or dismiss the original decision.

Id like to see alcohol legalized on campus for students who are of age because it would solve a lot a lot of alcohol write-ups for those who dont live in the senior apartments.

Question of the week:

What policy would you like to see changed and why?
Id like to see the visitation policy changed because I think as a college student, we are adults who should have to opportunity to make our own decisions.
