Humana Insurance Company is one of the largest health insurance companies in United States. It started its HIPAA implementation to get in compliance with the HIPAA act. The primary goal was to develop the HIPAA transactions and component test for each of the transactions before going to system test. Transactions come from the trading partner in EDI format by FTP to the Business Connect, which transforms them to XML format and sends to the Business Works. The Business Works processes the transactions and stores the data in a database and FTP to the appropriate end point systems in their corresponding format. Responsibilities: Developed various business processes using Tibco Business Works for 834/837/835 HIPAA transactions. Worked extensively on 834 (Membership Enrollment), and 837 (Claims processing) transactions.
