Blue Hens May Games

The Blue Hens enter the month of May with three mid week games and one weekend conference home series to close out the regular season. They first take on Wilmington on Tuesday, May 1 at 3 p.m. followed by games against St. Josephs University on Tuesday, May 15 and Rutgers on Wednesday, May 16. Both games begin at 3 p.m. The Hens close out the regular season with a weekend series against Northeastern May 18-20. Kids ages 4-10 are invited to take the field with the Blue Hens and run the bases following the game on May 20! Fans can also enjoy Blue Hens Bingo during all weekend games during the season! All home games take place at Bob Hannah Baseball Stadium.

Blue Hens Baseball Recap

The Blue Hens close out their regular season this weekend as they take on Colonial Athletic Association conference rival Drexel for three games. Friday, May 4 will be a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. followed by a single game on Saturday, May 5 at 1 p.m. As a reminder the last Future Hens Club event of the year will take place at the game on Saturday. Saturdays gameday promotions include $1 off hot dogs and Blue Hens Bingo! Be sure to also watch out for flying t-shirts being thrown into the crowd during every game. All home games take place at the Delaware Softball Stadium.

Last Future Hens Club Event of the Year


May 5- Softball vs. Drexel at 1 p.m. FHC Takes Over the Park RSVP deadline for this event is Thursday, May 3 at 5:00 p.m. Be sure to visit the Kids Club page on BlueHens.com for more information on this upcoming spring club event!

The Blue Hens mens lacrosse team closed out their season with a tough 6-17 loss to the hands of number 2 ranked UMass on Friday, April 27 before a record crowd. The Hens finished the 2012 season with a 6-9 record and a 1-5 conference record. With only nine seniors graduating from the current team, the Hens look to compete next season in the Colonial Athletic Association and make it back to the post season tournament in 2013. The Blue Hens Day Camp is now taking registration for summer 2012. The camp is open to all children entering 1st grade through 7th grade. Campers can enjoy various activities such as swimming, sports, fitness classes and more! Also all campers will receive a free membership to the Future Hens Club from August 2012- May 2013! Mens Lacrosse Recap

Womens Lacrosse Recap The Blue Hens womens lacrosse team closed out their season with a 13-8 victory over Colonial Athletic Association foe George Mason on Sunday, April 22 in front of a rain soaked crowd. The Hens finished the 2012 season with a 5-12 record and a 3-4 record in the conference. The Hens narrowly missed out making the conference post season tournament. With only two seniors graduating this year, the womens lacrosse team will return a core group of starters to the field next season as they look to compete for a CAA title.
