John Winston Lennon was born in Liverpool on October 9th, 1940. John Lennon was educated at Dovedale Primary.

He studied high school at Quarry Bank High School. When he was a student, he created a rock group called The Quarrymen which Lennon formed with Paul McCartney and George Harrison. Lennon went to Liverpool College of Art, but he did not get a degree. His teacher used to say that John was a rebellious student. In 1960, The Quarrymen became The Beatles, and in 1962, they were joined by a new drummer (percussionist) named Ringo Starr. None of Lennon, McCartney, Harrison or Starr could read or write music. In spite of this, The Beatles were an efficient and organized band in their musical performance. The Beatles performed in some clubs in Hamburg and, they also performed in The Cavern, in Liverpool. Many record companies didnt believe in the Beatles. These companies thought they were incompetent musicians. But their critics did not stop their project: to record a LP. The Beatles had their first single, Love Me Do, produced by George Martin on October 5 th, 1962. After that, they became famous and revolutionized music around the world. Lennon got married when he was young, but his wife, Cynthia was moody and had unreasonable demands. After divorcing his first wife, Cynthia, in 1968, Lennon married Yoko Ono a year later. Yoko Ono was a woman he met. Although she was unattractive, Yoko was a precocious musician. Many people say that John Lennon was focusing more on Yoko Ono and she was the cause for The Beatles separation. The band split up and The Beatles separated in 1970. In 1971 Lennon released the album Imagine. Imagine was a passion of John. It crystalized his dream for the world and his idealism, and it was something that John really wanted to say to the world. John Lennon was a dreamer. He was against the war and with his songs he tried to send a peace message. In 1980, John wrote all the songs on Double Fantasy in a period of 3 weeks. This album was written, recorded, and released this year. When John was singing and writing this album, he was visualizing everybody in his age group. With this, Lennon showed he was a hardworking composer. John Lennon died on December 8th, 1980. He was assassinated by Mark Chapman, a bad-tempered fan, outside Lennons New York apartment.
