Java Tiger (Panthera tigris sondaica)

Java Tiger Tiger (Panthera tigris sondaica) is the kind of tigers that live on the island of Java. The tiger was declared extinct in the 1980s, due to poaching and development of agricultural land is reduced drastically the animals habitat. Javan tiger is small compared to other tiger species. Male tiger weighing 100-141 kg and a length of about 2:43 meters. Females are lighter weight, i.e. 75-115 kg and slightly shorter than the male.

Balinese tiger (Panthera tigris balica)

Balinese Tiger (Panthera tigris balica) is a subspecies of tigers are already extinct which can be found on the island of Bali, Indonesia. This tiger is one of the three sub-species of tiger in Indonesia, together with the Java tiger (also extinct) and Sumatran tiger (endangered species)

Balinese Tiger is the smallest of the three tiger sub-species. Last tiger was believed shot in 1925, and sub-species were declared extinct on September 27, 1937. Because of the small islands, forests are limited, a population that is not never been greater and is considered there were no survivors to this day.

The animal was declared extinct by IUCN in 1996. However, experts believe these animals have become extinct around 1500 BC. This species is only known from a few subfossil fragments found on the island of Flores, Indonesia.
