 Team Manager: Powered Parachute senior design team (Fall 2008- Spring 2009)
o Currently designing automated wing deployment for hybrid ATV/flying vehicle
 Worked as a member of a four-man team that designed a ‘Sip-n-Puff’ fishing device for the 2006
ASME Student Design Competition held at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR (spring
2006. Duties included:
o Designing and integrating electrical controls and components
o Machining parts to fit specifications of the design.
o Received first place in the school wide competition at LeTourneau University, and
received third place at the regional competition at the University of Arkansas,
Fayetteville, AR
Drafting and 3D Modeling
 Three years experience working with SolidWorks software to model project designs
 One year experience working with AutoCad software to draw 2-D objects and layouts
Electronics
 Worked on a four person team designing a voice modulator (Fall 2006). The device took verbal
input through a microphone, the signal was passed through a circuit that modulated the signal,
and output the signal to a speaker, changing pitch and tone.
Computer
 Computer: Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher), Experience in
webpage design in HTML/XHTML and CSS, working knowledge of C++, proficient in
Photoshop, LabVIEW, Algor
Practical
 Completed a welding lab where I demonstrated proficiency in arc-welding, flux core welding, oxy-
acetylene welding and cutting.
Experience Co –op, Drafting Assistant, JW Power Company, Longview, TX (January 2007- November 2007)
 Utilized AutoCad 2004 to draw process flow diagrams and revise control panel layouts for natural
gas compression units.
 Utilized SolidWorks (Release 2006) to model the natural gas compression unit processes and
produced 3D drawings and bills of material that were sent to the manufacturing shop
Lab Assistant, LeTourneau University, Longview, TX (September 2008 – Present)
 Instrumentation and Measurements lab assistant. Duties include assisting students to perform lab
experiments using electrical test equipment, assisting with LabVIEW coding, and lab grading
Pre-fabrication Assistant, Marina Plumbing, Co., San Leandro, CA (May 2005 – August 2005)
 Prefabrication of water ground pipelines and gas lines being installed in large housing
developments. Gathered collected material to be shipped out to jobsites, and controlled inventory
of the shop floor
