1. Be sure to remember all the tricks for all the tenses usage. a. When to use Present Tense, Simple Past, Future, Present & Past Perfect Tenses. b. Present Tense Verbs : write, read, walk, eat, sleep. BUT be sure not to make silly mistakes. Pay attention to the pronouns, HE, SHE, IT and SINGULAR, add an s, while I,YOU,WE, THEY & PLURAL just use the basic form. c. Simple Past Tense, use V2 : wrote, walked, ate, slept for ALL the pronouns. d. DO NOT DOUBLED PAST TENSE! For example: She was walked to school yesterday. He was kicked a ball. THIS IS WRONG!! And it could also meant that He was kicked by a ball i.e. in BM, Dia ditendang bola. e. For V3, or Present or Past Perfect Tenses (or some call it PARTICIPLE), you must be careful with the time frame given. Be sure the action was done in the past and yet its still going on now. (Present Perfect Tense). Use a HAS or HAVE before a V3. For example, i. He has been working as an accountant for eight years. ii. The Browns have been going to that same grocery store for more than twenty years. iii. The doctors have been in the operating room for half an hour. f. Just change the HAS & HAVE to HAD if the action of situation is no longer happening at the moment. Again you must have the V3 after HAD for the verbs kata kerja. THIS IS WHY YOU MUST HAVE A CONCRETE KNOWLEDGE, MEMORISE ALL THE V1,V2 AND V3. 2. On DO, DOES, and DID. again, its all about TIME and the PRONOUNS. Clue, all the verbs after DO, DOES & DID must be in BASE FORM, regardless the pronouns. a. Examples : Do you know what I am talking about? (now) Does she study at least 3 hours a day? (everyday stuff) Did he attend the Raya Open House yesterday? (yesterday past) And so.. the answers would be like: i. ii. iii. Yes, I do understand what you are saying, mam.. Yes, I believe she does study at least 3 hours a day. No, he did not attend the Open House yesterday.

3. The +ing to show that the action is on-going. For instance, walking, singing, swimming etc. a. However, be sure to have a verb to-be is added before the +ing She is sleeping. Mom is cooking. (Present Continuous Tense) Dad was washing the car yesterday afternoon. I was playing congkak with Kak Limah last night.
