Q: What is the Cool for conscripts? A: Conscripts have Cool Rating of 5. Q: What is the Cool Rating of an Elite Character? A: Unless otherwise stated, an Elite Character has a Cool Rating of 9.

Q: Does a model take any damage from falling? For example, if it jumped out of a third story window? A: A model cannot jump down from upper floors. It must have a way of accessing higher elevations like a ladder or some stairs.

Shooting
Q: What is the best and worst To hit and To miss on a d6 roll? A: A roll of 1 always misses. The worst To hit would a anything greater than 7 which will also always miss. Q: Are infantry armed with Light Infantry strength weapons required to target the closest enemy unit or can they choose to fire at that vulnerable Very Light armor behind that unit of infantry? A: No. The rules clearly provide that only Heavy Infantry strength or higher ranged weapons may target other than the closest enemy unit, subject to varying levels of cover. Q: If the nearest shooting target unit is a vehicle which possibly be penetrated by the firing unit, must the firing unit nevertheless waste all its fire on the vehicle? A: No. If all models in the firing unit would have a penetration result target roll of N, then the vehicle may be ignored for target priority purposes. Q: Is it possible to target terrain, like woods, with HE weapons? A: Yes. However, it is not possible to snipe terrain with an HE round. Draw a line from the firing model to the closest point in the target terrain piece and resolve the shot from there. When targeting a multi-storey building, the firing model may target a specific level. Q: Does ignited terrain block LoS? A: Yes. Treat a terrain piece ignited by a flamethrower (as defined on page 44) in the same manner as a terrain piece targeted by a smoke grenade. Q: For the grenade Coming back rule, does each enemy unit hit by a grenade template get to test for Coming Back? A: Yes. Q: If a single model throws a grenade and the enemy passes the Coming back test, is the original grenade thrown back? A: Yes. The enemy target suffers no blast but the attacker does. Q: Does each fire team receive smoke grenades when an infantry squad splits up? A: Yes. Q: Can mortars move and keep their range point? A: No.

Turn Initiative Phase

Q: What happens when the Turn Initiative roll is a tie? Re-roll or alternate? A: Re-roll.

Command Phase and Orders

Q: In the Command Phase do players alternate issuing orders as in the Action Phase, or does one player at a time issue all his orders? A: No. As in the Maintenance Phase, the player with the higher Turn Initiative decides which player issues all their Command Phase orders first, then the other player issues all of his Command Phase orders. Movement Q: Can a disorganized unit without an Officer and in cover move toward the Force Commander? A: Yes. Per the rules on page 23, a disorganized unit that is in cover can move within that cover to bring itself within the command radius of its Officer. As a Force Commander is a valid Officer that can give orders to any unit in his command, the disorganized unit can move within that cover to get within the Force Commanders command radius..

Shooting, cont
Q: Can any friendly model with a radio spot for tanks or mortars, or just the command squad radio operator? A: Yes. Any friendly model with a radio can act as a spotter. Q: Can you target a building with a hidden unit in it to try to hurt them or suppress them even though you dont know they are there? A: Yes. You can fire at the building with weapons that dont require you to see the enemy (HE, Mortars, Rifle Grenades etc) or suppress it normally. Q: What exactly happens to a unit that is suppressed? A: A suppressed unit may not shoot or assault and may only Hide or crawl up to 2. If the unit officer did not issued any order during the command phase he may issue a Just Do It order allowing the unit to perform one single action that would be possible and legal if it wasnt suppressed.

Q: When you are making a shot against a vehicle there are essentially three dice roles. 1. Roll to hit. 2. Roll to penetrate the vehicles armor. 3. Roll to see the damage you have done to the vehicle on the tables provided. Which roll does ablative armor affect? A: The third roll. Q: What do twin-linked weapons do? A: Shooting attacks from twin-linked weapons add +1 to all to hit rolls.

Special Rules
Q: When can a fire team or Loner that has split from its unit rejoin the parent unit? For example, if a fire team led by a Corporal starts to move and takes a Goner result from Overwatch fire can the fire team rejoin its parent unit and use the Cool of the Sergeant if it is still in coherency but not in Command Range. A: No. The fire team already committed to an action that activation that was inconsistent with rejoining with its parent unit. The fire team must wait for the following turn to rejoin its parent unit. However, on its activation the parent unit may move into coherency with the fire team and allow it to rejoin. Q: Can a squad split beyond their fire team ability in order to mount in more than one transport vehicle such as Jeep or Bren Carrier. For example, may a British rifle squad mount in three Bren carriers? A: No, units may not split beyond fire team limits. In the example, the UK fire teams may not split any further. The remaining models follow on foot and must attempt to remain in coherency. Q: Are players required to deploy zombies in coherency? A: No.

Assault Moves and Close Combat

Q: Can a unit that has been activated choose to withdraw from an incoming assault? A: No. Only units that have not been activated may choose to do so. Q: Must an assaulting unit have Line of Sight to assault? A: No. If a unit is actually Hidden, however, it is taking active precautions not to be detected, and therefore a model in an assaulting unit must have LOS to a model in the Hidden unit Q: If a model wins a close combat and uses its 3 follow-up move to engage another enemy model, is the combat fought straight away? A: A follow-up move is only made after each model in every unit in a particular engagement completed their close combat attacks and the losing unit(s) passed the Cool test for losing combat. The only way that model could fight twice in a single Close Combat phase would be if it followed-up from one completed engagement into a separate, already ongoing but unresolved engagement.

Vehicles
Q: Can transported troops sitting inside an open topped transport throw grenades? A: Yes. Q: Do immobilized vehicles in ignited terrain take damage as if hit by a Flamethrower? A: The rules state all models take a light infantry hit, and all models must attempt to leave the ignited terrain if possible. In both cases, reference to the general term models includes both infantry and vehicles.

Special Rules, cont

Q: Are zombies affected by flamethrowers On Fire rule in the maintenance phase? A: Yes. Q: What are the coherency requirements for zombie units with, and without, a pinger? A: With or without a pinger, there are no coherency requirements for zombie deployment or movement. With a pinger, every zombie within 6 of the pinger moves using the Pinger rule instead of the Shamble rule. Q: Do zombies belonging to two opposing players attack each other or ignore each other in their search for fresher brains? A: Zombies will ignore enemy zombies unless there are no other enemy models on the board. Q: How is the Meat Wave special rule applied to template weapons such as HE shells, flamethrowers, and mortars? A: The Meat Wave rule only applies to Light Infantry Weapons, LMGs and HMGs. Q: How do smoke grenades work on zombies, or any unit that can be strung out in long lines? A: One unit cannot use smoke grenades on another unit. A unit may use its own smoke grenades on itself, and smoke grenades may be used on a terrain piece of up to 8 in rough diameter, only.

German OOB
Q: Is each Jaegerhund Werewolf considered a single activation or are they activated as a unit in a single activation? A: Werewolves within coherency distance may be activated as a unit. Werewolves not in coherency act as Loners.

Soviet OOB
Q: If a Soviet models unit is engaged in Close Combat but the model itself is more than 2 away from any enemy model can this model use the Motherland Calls special rule and fire into the Close Combat? A: Yes. Likewise, a soviet sniper can pick out enemy models locked in Close Combat with friendly units.
