CHAPTER - 1 INTRODUCTION

The Right to Information Act 2005 provides for obtaining information by citizen held by the public authorities. The EDS is a Government department under IT & C Department providing various services to the citizens like Electricity bill payments, Water Bill payments, Telephone Bill Payments, Property Tax payments, VAT payments, Sale of examination application like EAMCET etc through RAJiv Citizen Service Centres spread over in Andhra Pradesh with One Stop Shop in a convenient and comfortable environment. The objective for this information

handbook is to disclose information proactively to citizens.

It is a one-stop-shop for over 140 G2C and B2C services. Urban eSeva centres operates from 8.00AM to 8.00PM on all working days & open on Sundays and second Saturdays also from 9.00AM to 3.00PM. Centres are closed on National Holidays. Any service at any eSeva centre and at any counter in the centers in a city except specialized service like Passport, Money Exchange etc.. Facility for payment of water, electricity, property tax through Internet for Twin Cities i.e. through www.esevaonline.com CALL CENTRE This facility provides to the citizens to register their grievances pertaining to various Govt departments through TOLL FREE Number 1100 from BSNL lines .It also provides advices to the farmers by agriculture scientist. The call centre works 24 HOURS basis in a day.
