Hi, Danny,
Thanks for writing to me and telling me a lot about yourself. I am a
junior high school student now, and I will graduate from school this summer.
You told me that you like jazz. I love to sing with my classmates at KTV and
see movies in my free time. I join two clubs at school. One is Yoga club, and
the other is Movie club. I hope to be in good shape and know more about
movies. Staying with my family is the happiest moment for me. We usually
eat out on weekends and share our stories. I hope to hear from you soon and
know more about your family.

Hi, Clair,
How have you been? I got to Taiwan one month ago and 5 for
another 5 months. Everything is fresh to me. Life is very 6 because
some stores here open 24 hours a day, and you can get everything you
need anytime. I think Taiwanese are 7 people in the world .It seems
that they are always ready to help you. As for food, they have 8
much different food 8 I don’t know how to choose. Now I live
near my school, and there is also a beautiful park around. I enjoy jogging
there every morning.
All in all, I’m really happy to be here. You really should come here and
have a visit some day. See you in September.
Yours,
Lisa
Chocolate is one of the most popular foods in the world. People eat
chocolate candy, chocolate cake, and chocolate cookies. They also drink hot
chocolate.
Chocolate is made from cocoa beans. In the past, the Mayas and the Aztecs
used them as money because they were small, easy to carry, and not easy to find.
A turkey cost ninety beans and a small rabbit cost thirty beans. They also cooked
the beans and mixed them with water. Sometimes they added corn or hot peppers.
They did not add sugar. The drink was very expensive. Only rich people could
afford it.
