Shape of Plant Cell and Animal Cell

Another difference between plant cells and animal cells is that animal cells are round whereas plant cells are rectangular. Further, all animal cells have centrioles whereas only some lower plant forms have centrioles in their cells.

The Difference Of Vacuole Between Animal Cell and Plant Cell :

Animal cells have one or more small vacuoles whereas plant cells have one large central vacuole that can take up to 90% of cell volume. The functions are different too. In plant cells, the function of vacuoles is to store water and maintain turgidity of the cell. Vacuoles in animal cells store water, ions and waste.

The Function of cell membrane is to protect and regulates the entering of substance. The function of cytoplasm is the place in which cell metabolism reaction happen. The function of mitochondria as an energy producer. The function of endoplasmic reticulum is to compose and distribute substances to the cell. The function of Golgi Apparatus as a secretion organ of protein and mucus. The function of lysosome is to digest the part of broken cell and foreign substance which enters into the cell. The function of chloroplast as the place for photosynthesis. The function of cell nucleus as a regulator of all of the cell activities. The function of genes as a carrier of hereditary characteristics. The function of centriole is to collect chromosomes during cell division. The function of cell wall is to protect the cell membrane.

* Note : Of all the cell structures discussed, most are found in higher level animals and plants, and not all cells contain all structures.
