(5 min) Warm-up: Shoot 5 free throws Description and Management: The students will shoot 5 free throws and then tell the teacher how many they made. Their progression and improvement will be recorded and assessed. (1 min) Set Induction To begin I will tell them what we will do today. Today entails the dribbling relay, then review offense and defense and then end with 5 on 5. (5 min) Task 1: Dribble Relay Description and Management: There will be 3 teams of 6. The teams will be in a straight line baseline to baseline, facing the baseline. Each student will be about 10-12 feet from the student in front and behind them. The first person will start with the basketball (3 balls total) and weave through his team by dribbling the ball and when they get to the end they sprint back to their spot, while dribbling. They will then pass to the person behind them and that person will go, weave through their teammates and spring back and then weave through the first person and back to their spot, they will pass and the third person will go. This will continue until all six are done and whichever team does it the fastest wins. Extensions (E): The students, at any point, can intensify the competition by sprinting faster and pushing the ball. Refinement (R): Weave there, spring back Application (A): How fast can you complete the relay? (10 min) Task 2: Review Offense and Defense Description and Management: Go through some terminology that consists in a good offense and defense. Review things like screens, cuts, flash, and help line for defense. This will prepare them for the Kings Court games tomorrow and then the tournament starting Friday. (10 min) Task 3: 5 vs. 5 Half Court Game Description and Management: There will be 4 teams of 6. Two teams will be play one another and the others will play each other. One person from each team will have to rotate/ sub in as the game of basketball calls for 5 players per team at a time. They will play half court and scrimmage for about ten minutes. For half court basketball when the defense retrieves the ball after a shot they must take the ball behind the 3-point line and that is when they become offense. For this first day the student will be allowed to pick their teams.

Extensions (E): The students will have subs to aid in strategizing and helping them keep fresh and rested legs. Application (A): How many points can you score in 10 minutes? (1 min) Closure: Tell the students that tomorrow they focus on passing nd play again. Tell them how they did today and then dismiss them. Assessment: The students are constantly being supervised and observed on their cooperation, respect, effort and participation. Their free throws are recorded on the attendance excel spreadsheet. R.
