Unit 12 Part B: Find someone who...

Unit: Skill: Focus: Time: Unit 12 Part B Asking and answering questions with going to going to future 15-20 minutes 10 minutes if you do the short version 20+ minutes if you do the extension Before the lesson: In class: Make one copy of the Student's sheet for each person.

Give each student one grid. Write an example question on the board: Are you going to eat a snack after the lesson? Demonstrate the activity by asking the question to different students until you get a Yes answer. (Encourage short form answers, e.g. Yes, I am. / No, Im not not just Yes.) Write this students name on the board. Ask students to stand up and move around the classroom, asking each other their questions. When a student gets a Yes answer, they write the name of that person in the relevant box. Once all the names have been filled in, students can return to their seats.

Short version Extension

They can sit down when they have a vertical or horizontal row of four.

Individual students give feedback, e.g. Petra is going to see a film at the cinema next Tuesday.
