English 2C 499110061 Kelly An Ideal Teacher Love and patience are the key to become an ideal teacher.

A teacher who has love usually dedicates his/her time and physical strength to the students. They might regard the students as their children, taking good care of them, teaching them not only the knowledge of books but also the meaning of life, telling them to have good behaviors and what is good and what is evil, and using their spare time concerned with students who look disappointed and melancholy. Some teachers even remember every student's birthday and celebrate with the class. All of these things are not an easy job for most people. But, they just did their best to fulfill it. Besides, it may be a kind of responsibility for them to become a great teacher. Moreover, a teacher who stays at school late just to mark the homework that students gave him/her or when a student asks questions, they won't feel annoyed. They will teach the student again and again until the student understands it. This kind of teachers must be patient and have a high EQ. They have their principle so that they won't roar while feeling angry. They can endure a lot of pressures in his/her daily life and teach students knowledge step by step. When I was 6th grade in elementary school, there is an ideal teacher who I would never forget. For me, she has almost all these characteristics. She cares about me and

my classmates just like a mother. Once, I got sick, coughing and sneezing badly. As soon as she knew, she gave me a cup of hot tea and reminded me to see a doctor. I was so touching by her kindness. But sometimes, she would blame me as a mother if I did something wrong. When we were in class, she usually gives compliments and courage to us instead of scolding all the time. It can increase our confidence and make us braver to do many things. She uses her own way to create the best educational environment for her students. Interesting, and easily without losing the casualty are the atmosphere in class. In my memories, honesty is the most important thing that she asked us to remember. If we lie to her, she will get angry and tell us seriously," Do not lie again. Even your grades are not the best, you must have a good morality toward lives." As the old saying goes, "Honesty is the best policy." In other words, it pays to be honest. As a traditional virtue, honesty is supposed to be cherished by people everywhere. However, there are a lot of instances of dishonesty in all walks of life at present. It is reported that in the business community, for example, even some world-famous corporations, such as Enron and WorldCom, have cheated their employees and stockholders. As a result, both of them have gone bankrupt and the CEOs of the two corporations have been severely punished. They deserved the punishment because they have seriously destroyed the confidence of the investors in

the US stock market and brought about a great turmoil in the financial world. Everyone should learn a lesson from these cases. My teacher always regards honesty as a benefit to others as well as to oneself. An honest person will easily win friendship and respect from the people around him. He will have a clear conscience and enjoy a life of peace and happiness. Honest people are people of integrity. They never pretend. They regard honesty as a matter of principle and even when they are in great trouble, they still stick to it and are willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of this valuable virtue. And this will contribute enormously to their success. In the end, I think my 6th grade teacher gives a lot of influence on my life. She let me become a braver person when I have to stand on the stage, speak in front of the audience and taught me not to be afraid of those problems in daily life. Although I have graduated from my elementary school for eight years, once I encounter some problems, I always go back to find her, hoping she can give me some advices. The time I was preparing for the data of entering a college, I went back too. I was in a dilemma about choosing what school to enter, should I choose what I really want or should I depend on the quality of school? Thats a really hard question for me at that moment, there are two consequences to the question, one is true to yourself, the other one is you will be regret after choosing. After our chatting, I really feel better

than before. For me, she just similar like a role model that I want to follow. Recently, I went back to find her, whose two lovely sons are growing up rapidly, they all been taught to be honesty child. Whatever they want to do, just be responsible to themselves. My teacher not only plays the role of teacher but also the role of experienced mother, and this is the point that what an ideal teacher is.
