MY MISSION STATEMENT

My mission is to enjoy God and serve him with integrity, having impact in the lives of others. To fulfil this Mission:
I have Mercy I offer unconditional love regardless of a persons situation or relation to me. I Serve - I devote my time, gifts and resources to my mission. I Inspire and Envision I model what is it to be a child of God and servant of Jesus Christ and to take total direction for my life from Him. I have impact I believe that I do what I can make all the different in the life of others I have fun my Christian life and its out-working in the church should have a foundation of fun and enjoyment. I am pragmatic Ruthless pragmatism is part of my spirituality. I have intrinsic value My real nature and value is in Jesus Christ, and is not dependant upon external circumstances, my occupation, situation, successes or failures.

These roles take priority in achieving my mission:

Order of priority for my roles: God, Bev, Family, Church, Work. Husband: Bev is the most important person in my life. My mission can only be achieved by subordinating my goals and desires to the process of protecting, nurturing and valuing our relationship. My mission will be achieved by my teamwork with Bev, the fruits of which will be mercy, love and service. I will work to help develop her emotional, physical, spiritual and financial interdependence. Father: I will provide a home where my children may grow up to know and serve Jesus and develop a relationship with Him and us that is characterised by responsibility, accountability, teachability and freedom of expression. I will provide an environment in which my children can learn to love, laugh and learn and to develop their unique talents. Homemaker: I will work with Bev to create a home where I and my family and friends, guests and visitors can find joy, comfort, peace and happiness. I will support Bevs desires to organise our home, with verbal, physical, and financial assistance, and encourage her arrangement and decoration of it. I will be wise in choosing what we eat, read, see and do at home. Son/ Brother: I am known to be there for support, encouragement and love. Christian: Have a deep relationship with Jesus, characterised by brokenness, dependency on Him, and a life spent consistently seeking Him and the things of His Kingdom. Neighbour/ Community: I serve my neighbours in ways that are practical demonstrations of Gods love for them. To leave my fingerprints on those I come into contact with, being a centre of influence, support and direction. Friend: I am someone who people can be themselves with, have fun with, feel secure with and rely upon. I will speak the truth with integrity into their lives, and never compromise my beliefs for the sake of their friendship. I will actively seek their advancement, development and interdependence. Change Agent: I will be catalytic in the envisioning of the church and the raising up of new leaders. I will be a self-starting proactive individual, who exercises initiative in accomplishing my lifes goals. Student: I am to be teachable, always open to correction, and be constantly learning. I will develop a new proficiency every year, and constantly develop my guitar skills. I will plan tomorrows work today. Work: I am to be a reliable contributor, team player, and asset to the company. I will positively motivate, support and serve. I will actively seek the advancement and success of my colleagues. I will not be emotionally reactive, but respond proactively to situations. Provider: Money will be my servant and not my master. I will clear my debts over time. My wants will be subject to my needs and means. Apart from long term car and home loans, I will seek to keep myself free from consumer debt. I will spend less than I earn, regularly save and invest for the futures of Bev, my children, and myself. I will insure our family against death, illness and serious disease. I will regularly tithe my money to the Lord.

Health: I will maintain a positive attitude, and sense of humour. I will commit time, energy, and money to stay healthy, and I will always try to keep myself free from addictions and harmful habits.
