Available PTO positions
PTO has several board and committee positions available for next
year. If you are interested in taking a more active part in PTO
activities or operations next year, please contact Cris Vaughan
(cavaughan28@gmail.com) or Stephanie Fulmer-Smentek
(sfulsmen@comcast.net) to learn more about the positions and get
involved!

Auditor Needed!!!
PTO is looking for an auditor for next year. The auditor is crucial to the operations
of the PTO and maintaining our non-profit status. Individuals with an accounting
or auditing background are an especially good fit for this position. The position
requires the auditing of the PTO books on a quarterly basis and consulting with the
co-presidents and PTO board on policy issues. The auditor is independent of the
PTO board and this position does not require regular attendance at PTO meeting.
If you are interested in learning more about this position, please contact Cris
Vaughan (cavaughan28@gmail.com) or Stephanie Fulmer-Smentek
(sfulsmen@comcast.net).

A quick note for PTO committee members:
Thank you once again for donating your time and talents to make our PTO such a
successful organization! If you still have personal receipts from your events that
have not been turned in for reimbursement, please do so by May 30
th
. Thanks!

Walkathon 2012 was a success!!
Thank you to all who contributed to the Walkathon Family Sponsorship 2012.
Your sponsorship and pledge donations allow the PTO to
support school programs such as the new digital art program
and hands on music program. PTO also sponsors technology
such as the technology lab and iPads; and staff like the
technology aide and 2 teacher's aides. Thanks to you, your
PTO can continue top provide these services to the school and
more. THANK YOU!!!

Time to collect those Walkathon pledges!!!
Our students did a terrific job soliciting pledges and walking laps! All students
with outstanding pledges should have their Walkathon envelopes returned with
their laps recorded and now is the time to go out and collect pledges! Please help
your children collect the pledge money and return the completed pledges to
school. Thanks for your continued support! If you have any questions, please
contact Yulan Cole (Yulan@yahoo.com).

DISTRICT NEWS SECTION
Vol. 30 2011-2012
Elementary School

INTENT TO RETURN SURVEY
The District is in the process of conducting an Intent to Return Survey for the 2012-2013
school year for current registered students as of May 4, 2012. All parents of registered
students who provided a valid email to the District have been contacted to participate in this
online survey. The data collected will assist the District in staffing our elementary schools more
efficiently.

The Cupertino Union School District is attempting to identify the number of students
planning on returning to a District school for the 2012-2013 school year in grades 1-5.
Once you complete the survey for your family, there is no other action needed on your part.

If you havent done so already, please take a moment to complete a short survey to inform us
if your child(ren) are returning to his or her assigned elementary school in the Cupertino Union
School District in August or if they will be attending a school outside of the District.

The survey is available here:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/cusdsurvey2012-2013

Thank you for your participation!
