On this scheme you will study for your degree while gaining hands-on experience. As well as offering in-depth training, you will earn a competitive starting salary of 16,000 which increases every six months to 32,000 upon successful completion of your studies. At the end of this Apprenticeship, you will have great qualifications and a permanent job with one of the worlds leading premium automotive companies. Our Higher Apprenticeship Scheme typically lasts six years, but could well be considerably shorter, depending on any prior learning we can accredit. After spending an initial period at college learning the engineering basics of your particular role, youll begin at one of our company sites developing your technical knowledge, your business acumen and your people skills, alongside your continued academic studies. While on your scheme youll gain: Fully sponsored Engineering Degree NVQ4 in Engineering Leadership NVQ3 in Business Improvement Techniques NVQ2 in Performing Engineering Operations To apply, the following entry requirements must all be met: A minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including Maths, English and a core Science subject An A-level at Grade C or above in a Mathematical subject An A-Level at Grade C or above in a Science or Technology or Engineering related subject We may also consider a relevant level 4 (or above) equivalent engineering qualification such as a HNC, HND or the first year of a foundation degree depending on the content studied and grades achieved.

Product Development pathway

While completing your degree, you will be applying your engineering skills in one of two key areas. In Vehicle Calibration you will carry out various tests in order to gather and interpret performance data in support of our vehicle development programmes. The Computer Aided Design (CAD) role will develop your base understanding of forming and machining techniques, allowing you to blend Computer Aided Engineering and Modelling in delivering vehicle geometry.

Production Supervision pathway

While you complete your degree, youll be growing your practical engineering know-how and developing your supervisory skills to ensure your team deliver high quality products within a fast-paced and cost-conscious manufacturing environment.

Manufacturing Engineering pathway

You will play a vital role in the launch planning and smooth delivery of exciting new products to our customers. Your degree will help you to focus upon advanced Manufacturing Techniques and the project management skills required in the launching of vehicles on time, every time.

Finance pathway
Youll develop a core understanding of engineering in addition to financial and analytical skills which will be put to use in our Engineering Cost Estimation department. Business acumen is key in this area, so in addition to completing your degree, you will be exposed to several business functions as part of your development.

Purchasing pathway
Youll build your experience by solving supplier technical issues on our Manufacturing sites, alongside developing technical knowledge whilst studying for your degree. Your further development will include visiting suppliers to help them grow their Lean Manufacturing Techniques and quality approach.
