Dimsport Technology Group was founded in 1991 out of passion for competition and racing and has become world leader in the field of electronics for
management of engine working parameters. Nowadays the Group employs about 70 people and offers two different product lines: Tuning Division: high-tech solutions for the customization of electronically-managed engine of cars, motorbikes, heavy duty trucks, tractors and boats. Equipment Division: advanced power bench testers dynamometers/road simulators for engine developments and the measurement of torque & power supplied by cars, motorbikes, tractors and trucks.

Dimsport Technology Groups companies are TV certified for their quality management system (UNI EN ISO 9001:2008). RapidBike project developed thanks to preceding experiences gained in the motorbike sector officially comes to light in 2004 with the objective
of offering add-on modules for fast adjustments of the engine management without interventions on the original ECU. This is a high-tech product line including software applications and hardware modules aimed at optimisation of performance: RapidBike1, 2 and 3 turned out to be able to satisfy any expectation. Starting from 2008, Dimsport Technology has become technology partner of LCR Honda MotoGP Team (led by Lucio Cecchinello) and of Yamaha Italia by supporting R-Series. This cooperation allowed Dimsport to transfer the cutting edge technology to RapidBikes product line. RapidBike line now includes solutions for any need and requirement:

The range is complemented by outstanding quality accessories like My Tuning Bike (fast autotuning support on CAN-BUS line), RapidBike (software for map adjustment), Map Switch (selector for management of multiple maps).

Master

Dimsport Technology Group also offers and supplies other tools aimed at professionals in order to support the development of engine parameter adjustment, for instance DynoBike dynamometer, professional versions of Tuning Bike tool and RapidBike Master software.

PLUG&PLAY AFR MODULATOR

Add-on module supplied with microprocessor interfacing with the oxygen sensor air/fuel ratio and the sensor of air temperature. The setting of the module (which adjusts the injection timing, by increasing or decreasing it) is carried out thanks to simple operations on trimmers with graduated scale and does not require any additional software: this is how RapidBike put the idea of Plug & Play into reality! The two status-LED make the check of the correct working of the add-on module easier. This picture displays the signal coming from the oxygen sensor related to the air/fuel ratio: compared to the original carburetion (blue trace), RapidBike EASY (red trace) allows an optimized air/fuel ratio (closer to the green trace, ideal air/fuel ratio for the best performance) that improves the engine efficiency and allows to save on fuel consumption. The module is supplied already set, in a kit: it interfaces with the wiring of the motorbike through original connectors which are definite for each model. Its manufacturing standard is specific for the Automotive sector and complies with important criteria such as electromagnetic compatibility, resistance to shock/vibration, temperature excursion and weathering agents (waterproof technology, etc).

TOTAL INJECTION CONTROL

Evolution of the technology and experience gained through RapidBike1, 2 and 3 is an add-on module that interposes between the original ECU and the injectors. It combines extraordinary high performance with user-friendliness thanks to the self-adaptive feature: RapidBike EVO does not require additional modules to reach this performance, as it includes all the required features in its own working. Objective of this application is total injection control, which means the total control of the air/fuel ratio through the management of all the injectors (up to eight) and of the oxygen sensors. RapidBike EVO allows to work on injection timing (range from -100% to +150% compared to the original parameters) and on air/ fuel ratio related to carburetion. When driving the motorbike, the self-adaptive feature determines the automatic self-correction of the air/fuel ratio maps: this active management is added up to the pre-set parameters. The adjustments set by RapidBike EVO improve the engine efficiency in order to reach the best performance. The self-correction process is set in multipoint technology according to RPM and TPS, for the whole range of the engine working, even when the original RPM limiter is raised (when available). The chart displays the definite progressive improvement of the map from 0 (red trace) after 50 km (green trace) and after 200 km (brown trace). Other remarkable features are the possibility to raise the RPM limiter (up to + 1.000 RPM) and the cut of the speed limiter. RapidBike EVO also supports the management of multiple maps, which means the possibility to calibrate and activate two sets of injection maps with different self-adaptive settings in order to change air/fuel ratio with a simple switch. For two-cylinder engine motorbikes, RapidBike EVO allows to set a map with specific self-adaptive corrections for each cylinder to optimize the engine efficiency. Thanks to the software supplied as additional tool (refer to the following pages), the biker can create his own maps and set new self-adaptive criteria anytime, so to get the performance he wishes the most.

A real breakthrough in technology applied in the motorcycle sector, RapidBike RACING is the most complete and innovative system available today to manage the engine working through add-on module. Functional improvement and evolution of the technical features introduced with RapidBike EVO, the RACING module analyses and manages up to 8 input channels contemporary thanks to a calculating capacity ten times higher than what already offered by the esteemed RapidBike3. A technologically advanced tool granting the maximum electronic support at the highest competitive level. The new features introduced by RapidBike RACING are numerous:

Ignition timing dynamic control: exclusive system for the management of ignition and
spark advance, to maximize the engine efficiency (the chart displays the power level of two comparative tests performed by a Yamaha R6 on our dynamometer: the red trace represents the test with RapidBike RACING on).

Engine braking control: management of the engine brake while decelerating, to prevent the
troublesome jumping vibration of the rear wheel and improve the bike stability when curving.

Pit-lane RPM limiter: manually activated limiter to reduce the performance of the engine when driving
through the pit area in a circuit

Multi-set switch: not just a switch between two maps, but the possibility to change bike setting with different calibrations of injection, ignition, limiters (also pit-lane RPM), engine braking control and even self-adaptive injection
The active management of RPM and speed limiters, essential at racing competition level, requires a detailed description because of the innovative solutions introduced: suitable for road purposes too, this technology is available on both RACING and EVO version of RapidBike and makes what available now on the market obsolete. The modification of the RPM limiter is achieved on a progressive scale of values so to obtain a regular and satisfactory power supply also in the RPM range added. Some features are specifically conceived and supported to perform the best performance (example enrichment during acceleration, modulation of the oxygen sensor signal, etc.). RapidBike Master

The programming software

RapidBike Master software allows to manage the recalibration of EVO and RACING modules, accessories, professional tools provided.

The main features are:

Automatic configuration of the specific features enabled according to the module connected; Available in Standard and Advanced (Professional) level to fulfil the most demanding needs of an integrated tuning system; On-line free download from www.rapidbike.com after registration.

ACCESSORIES
Specific wiring interface between RapidBike module and PC: starting from today, included in EVO/RACING kit.
You just connect to www.rapidbike.com and, after a quick registration form, you can download RapidBike Master software for free to calibrate your new RapidBike module.

BLUE BIKE kit

Optional device allowing to create a connection between PC and RapidBike module by enjoying the benefits of the Bluetooth technology. No wires to create the link (max 50 metres), a perfect solution for the pit area and narrow spaces.

ADORI by-pass adapter

A special by-pass module, ADORI (ADapter to recreate ORIginal conditions) allows to set the motorbike back to stock conditions so replacing RapidBike module because it is installed on its wiring. Immediate and easy.

CAN-BUS autotuning option for RapidBike EVO/RACING
My Tuning Bike is the new optional application working through CAN-BUS communication and a linear oxygen sensor (wide band) to perform selfremapping of the injection and to be automatically tuned to a target air/fuel ratio. The main difference between MY TUNING BIKE and the self-adaptive feature available on RapidBike EVO/RACING is the speed required to complete the remapping operation. MY TUNING BIKE takes about 20 minutes to complete this whereas for RapidBike EVO/RACING (basing its working on the narrow band oxygen sensors installed stock on the motorbike) the time required to complete the self-remapping procedure is about two hours. Moreover, when a bike is not equipped with oxygen sensor, MY TUNING BIKE is the only solution to perform self-remapping operations.

Electronic quick shifter

Applicable to both standard and reversed operating levers, it allows RapidBike to reduce the power automatically when shifting to a higher gear: the result is the possibility to change gear without reductions of the throttle opening. The power reduction can be set and modified according to RPM and gear position.

In combination with RapidBike EVO/RACING, it allows immediate switch between different sets of maps: injection, ignition, limiters (also in pit-lane RPM), engine braking control and even self-adaptive injection (type 2 in picture)

PROFESSIONAL EQUIPMENT

Professional device for the self-remapping of the injection.

Tuning Bike is a portable device for professionals conceived to create up to two injection maps for the RapidBike modules. The maps are based on the A/F ratio which is acquired from the exhaust gas produced when the engine is working. Upgraded version of MY TUNING BIKE kit.

Power bench tester for motorbikes

Braked/inertial combined power bench tester for motorbikes, DYNOBIKE is a computerized diagnostic system for the measurement of the torque and the power performed by a motorcycle in running order. Indispensable to set up and develop tuning solutions and to check the performance parameters for road and competition. Mechanically designed to suit any loading condition, this dynamometer allows to test motorcycles up to 220 KW and 360 km/h. DYNOBIKE is also equipped with a range of sensors and probes for the data acquisition of analog parameters such as ambient pressure and temperature, engine oil/water temperature, exhaust gas temperature, engine RPM, AFR from oxygen sensor (lambda). The software offers a variety of options to customise the parameters displayed. It allows to elaborate your tests and draw up the results in several, clear reports. The tests can be saved in a logical structure, and the most significant can be overlapped for comparative purposes, to verify and prove the competence of your professional skills. A special option allows multiple sessions up to eight tests.
