Task1 WWW (World Wide Web) Introduction of WWW: WWW Stands for "World Wide Web." The World Wide Web, or just "the Web," as ordinary people call it, is a subset of the Internet. The Web consists of pages that can be accessed using a Web browser. The Internet is the actual network of networks where all the information resides. World Wide Web. The Hyper-Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is the method used to transfer Web pages to your computer. With hypertext, a word or phrase can contain a link to another Web site. All Web pages are written in the hyper-text markup language (HTML), which works in conjunction with HTTP. Definition: A local area network (LAN) supplies networking capability to a group of computers in close proximity to each other such as in an office building, a school, or a home. A LAN is useful for sharing resources like files, printers, games or other applications.

Configure TCP/IP The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) has set aside several network numbers from classes A, B, and C that you can use without registering. These addresses are valid only within your private network and are not routed between real Internet sites. The numbers are defined by RFC 1597. You can see what the computer currently believes its IP number is (and the Ethernet card's hardware address) by opening a Command Prompt window (Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt) and typing ipconfig /all. The Internet carries a vast array of information resources and services, most notably the inter-linked hypertext documents of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to support electronic mail.

How To Access Any Website


1. You simply type in the address of the webpage that you want to visit at the top of the proxy home page and then click browse. E.X: www.google.com, www.yahoo.com 2. It then lets you go through and view your favourite web page and as it is going through that site it is anonymous.

How to Access E-mails


1. You simply type in the address of the email service webpage that you want to visit at the top of the proxy home page and then click browse. E.X: www.gmail.com, www.mail.yahoo.com, 2. Now enter User name and password and click on Login button.
