PARAGRAPH CHECKLIST:

Does the topic sentence indicate the purpose of the paragraph? Do all of the ideas in the paragraph relate to the topic sentence? Is the paragraph well-developed with three or more supporting ideas? Are the sentences in the most effective order? Are sentences connected to each other with natural transitions? Is the paragraph linked to the preceding and following paragraphs? Should the paragraph be broken down into smaller paragraphs for greater clarity? Does the closing sentence summarize what has been said in the paragraph? Topic Sentence + 3 Supporting Ideas + Closing Sentence = 5 sentences per paragraph minimum
