Under the mantle of Our Lady of Lourdes, we are a parish family nurturing faith, hope and love in the community through formation, prayer, and stewardship

TODAYS FOCUS The Most Holy Trinity: On this Trinity Sunday, among other things, we give special honor to the relationship embodied by our Triune God. This relationship is based on love, and is a model for us. Through the three Persons in one God we can come to new understandings of love and unity.

Please remember to name Our Lady of Lourdes or St. Marys Colgan Schools in your will. May we leave a legacy of faith and education for the generations to come. Please consider informing Fr. Mike or the parish office of your legacy plans, mike@ourladypittsburg.com.

STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION Our Christian vocation flows from our discipleship in Christ Jesus. The readings today plainly tell us to proclaim our heritage in the Lord. Moses commands the Israelites to recall that God chose their nation and delivered it from slavery in Egypt. St. Paul declares that we who receive the Spirit are no longer slaves but heirs of God. Jesus instructs his disciples to teach all nations and baptize them. When we begin to understand the depth and magnitude of the gift of sonship bestowed on us by the Father, we are impelled to share with each other. It is too much to keep to ourselves! May we constantly live as a member of the family of God.

To increase your odds of a longer life, eat a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and dried beans and peas (legumes), and low in fat. 4. Stay physically active to reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and some types of cancer, as well as to prevent obesity. 5. Forever young: Appreciate the wisdom and experience you've gained over time! 6. Cultivate optimism: Expect to maintain a sharp memory and be able to handle change. 7. People who have a supportive social network tend to feel better about their health and ability to function! 8. "You're only as old as you feel" may be true so go ahead and remain young at heart! 9. Drink water: being well hydrated moisturizes your skin from the inside out! 10. Go to bed and get up at about the same time every day, even on the weekends. 11. When you're angry for one minute, you lose seconds of happiness!
